Feature request: Order 'Report now' optimally: nearest to overdue first

When you have multiple spam reports in the system, some may already be overdue (past the 48 hours limit) but some may have a few minutes or a few hours of validity left.

Currently, the Pending reports seem to be presented in order of submission to Spamcop.

I would like to suggest a Preferences option that allowed these Pending reports to be presented in the most effective order:

1) Reports with least time left first

2) Reports that are overdue

This would allow the maximum number of good reports to be made. As soon as you hit an 'overdue' report, you could delete the rest.

...Posting it here is the best you can do, AFAIK. SpamCop staff periodically come by to check out what has been posted. They do not always reply to individual posts, though, and tend to not provide status of NFRs, from what I have seen.

I support this request too. Sometimes I can't spare time for a few days to process submitted requests and, if there are tens or hundreds then its easiest just to clear them all and start afresh than click through expired requests to get to the "live" ones at the end.

Processing the newest first and deleting the stale ones would be simpler but, more importantly, it would improve the overall performance of SpamCop. Enabling this feature would mean that the "Yum, this spam is fresh" would get processed first and therefore more likely to impact on current active spam sites.

I suppose it depends on your mail application, but Thunderbird allows me to sort my spam folder by date/time. So in situations were I have not been able to report for an extended time, for example after a business trip when my spam folder has several 100 spam, I sort then by date deleting the older ones and reporting the newer ones. Just a suggestion while waiting for SpamCop implement this suggestion.

Looking at the current Spamcop statistics, I notice that the "reports sent" graph never falls behind the "spam submitted" graph by more than seconds. From that I infer that the only submitted spam that would be affected are those few right on the cusp of the 2 day limit. The cost to catch those about to age out would be the processor time to 1) inspect each submitted spam and then 2) finding where to inserting it into the cue for processing, as a posed to just adding it to the end of the cue.

Fair point and I do already do that sort of thing before reporting, however I am more frequently dealing with spam caught by the MTA prior to delivery to a mail spool and clients. Once submitted to SpamCop I often have other demands on my time before I can get round to processing them via the web interface.

I understand. The web interface for a large number is time consuming.

Have you looked at Forward as Attachment Instructions which is some quicker than the webpage

Also there is quick reporting. Using quick reporting I forward as many as ~20 spam at a time using quick reporting.
