Recommended Posts

Symptom:

  • spam that is Quick-Reported or Queued for Reporting and Moved to Trash stays in the Held Mail Folder.

Root Causes:

  • New SpamCop Email System Customers don't get a Trash Folder
  • The Quick Reporting and "Queue for reporting (and move to trash)" capabilities don't know how to create a Trash Folder
  • The Quick Reporting and "Queue for reporting (and move to trash)" capabilities don't produce an error when they fail to move the reported spam to the Trash Folder

Workaround:

  • Create your Trash Folder by logging in to Webmail and deleting any message. Every SpamCop Email System Customer needs to do this once. This can also be done by creating the Folder in Webmail or your IMAP Client.

Solution:

  • There is no known solution at this time.
