Recommended Posts

...Specifically here: Pinned: Mailhost Update:

Look at the parse output carefully and if you have any questions either post the tracking url here or send it deputies <at> spamcop.net with your questions, the tracking url and your registered SpamCop email address. Please put "mailhosts" somewhere in the subject line.

Well, that's true for seekking other help, but the "answer" is actually found at Delays, Waivers, Explanations, A few things of note

One thing to understand about this system (if you care) is that these mailhost configurations are *shared*. So that once I adapt mailhost X to use strange domains a b and c, anyone else on mailhost X should be recognized without anyone having to do anything special. So that's why you see things change in your own mailhost pages - as other users add more detail to those entries.

Thank you for the link turetzsr. I've gotten the information together and sent it to the debuty address.

Did I get it? Did I fix it?

I don't know. But the real issue is .... does the Pinned stuff that's currently serving as a FAQ need to be changed? I offered up Julian's explanation of the shared database .. you yourself explained the shared database in the past, and now you're implying that you make special name changes ..?????

Well I try not to make MH name changes *but* I do occasionally find one where it makes more sense to change the name rather than not -- i.e. one where the name might make sense to the first person who registered the mailhost but not to anyone else who has it in their configuration. But in general the names are OK.
