So how does that really work? I did get the e-mail in question...Does spamcop bounce any forwarded e-mail that has suspicious content and prevent it from ever reaching the webmail INBOX? Or does it bounce and retain, is suspicious e-mail reported automatically? See my earlier post about not being able to report some spam...

I see no one has been able to come up with an answer. Now my own daughter is complaining about getting my e-mail bounced. She is deffinitely whitelisted and in my address book.

Which server (IP Address since most of the email addresses are munged) do you expect the messages to be held at?
What is your email configuration? Do you have all of your pitt.edu messages forwarded to spamcop? Do you then forward to another address or retrieve the messages from spamcop?
If you forward from spamcop, you should be forwarding to an account that is NOT protected by spamcop, otherwise a loop is created.
If a single message gets forwarded through spamcop more than once, it can be deleted by the server becuase of looping issues. I had this problem when I was having difficulties with my ISP and I forwarded several old messages back to my spamcop addres and they were all dropped because of the apparent loop.
OK, that's what I thought was happening, yes I have one that cannot forward to spamcop, but that is the one that gets most spam...I will try, thanks again.
PS. I had it forwarded to a pop account which I also checked on spamcop. Though the pop log from spamcop was not frequent enough to cause a problem and it would be left on that server....As of now, the only thing left there is spam marked as such by that server and moved automatically to a spam folder. So I don't see INBOX there unless I happen to be logged on when it arrives.

Goo. Sounds like you have it figured out.
Bottom line is try to follow the trail any message will follow. If it hits spamcops servers twice, there will be problems.
