I am a new to spamcop. But over the last few days I haven't been reliably receiving emails. I have my email forwarding to my Spamcop.net account then then I have it forwarded back to my Email Shadow account. It is taking forever to get mail through. I have been sending some test messages and if I send directly to my shadow account I receive them instantly. If I send to my forwarded account or my Spamcop account it can take anywhere from 30minutes to a few hours or longer to reach me.
I have temporarily stopped forwarding until I see a better processing time.
Any ideas as to the slow down. I didn't notice this til yesterday. But it might have also occurred last week.

Would you please post a copy of the Received headers for one of the messages that took "a few hours or longer", or email the copy to support at spamcop.net if you don't feel comfortable putting them on a webpage?

On the other hand, I just tried going to the newsgroups and am getting a "Load at 18, try again later" message. There's definitly something going on with the servers right now ....

Yes, but the news server is totally unrelated to the email servers.

Now things seem to be routing very quickly. Although, I haven't received a response from them as to the problem yet.
So all seems to be well now. My only concern when I was trying to do the original trouble shooting was when I tried to send a test message to my spamcop.net mail account. That too was slow to arrive at that time. Unfortunately, I didn't keep the message to look at the headers.
But thankfully, everything is working very well now.

I have had this problem also, and was answered some time ago, but I have worked around it rather than make the changes suggested as I didn't want to risk screwing things up somehow.
I have Spamcop GET my mail from my main email server account, then forward it to another account that I pick up from the server.
I believe that I can have my server FORWARD my mail to spamcop instead, but I'm not sure how to do that and haven't wanted to mess with it.
In any case, email sent to my main account does not appear in my other account for anywhere from several minutes to an hour sometimes. I believe it is because spamcop does not check my mail account very frequently, and then has additional delay before forwarding. I suppose there are good reasons for this.
In my case I work around by having urgent mail sent to an unfiltered account that doesn't get more than a few random spams.
I've been having issues with not receiving mail and one of my accounts being massively delayed at times. I've opened a help ticket with my host for 2 accounts, because when I have received mail, it's been lagged 4.5 hours.
I forward all my accounts to my cesmail.net account. My Comcast mail has typically forwarded immediately, as usual, but here's one I just sent as a test and it was lagged 25 minutes:

It looks like you sent this from your spamcop webmail account to your comcast account which got forwarded back, correct?
Does your comcast account get actually forwarded, or is spamcop popping it (looks like a forward to me, but just checking)?
Have you talked to Comcast about why they had it for 25 minutes? Have you tried emailing support[at]spamcop.net to see what JT's logs say about the matter? It went from cesmail to comcast at 18:04 and from comcast to cesmail at 18:29.
I forward it directly to my SCMail account, as I do with all my other addresses. I was told it's the most effective way to get mail.
I haven't contacted Comcast, because this is the first time any of my test messages were delayed.
