I know there's not a lot I can do, other than report the bad bounces, but just wondering how long this sort of thing typically goes on? It's happened before, but it's been awhile since anyone forged MY domain for much, so I'm just curious how long I should expect to get the mis-directed bounces?

Well, the last time it happened to me, I had a major flood for about one day, and then they slowly tapered off over the next week or so.

Dang... wish I had that kind of luck. It's been going strong for at least a couple weeks now... I think. Well, I guess there's not much I can do at this point. I think when I get a chance, I'll switch to a different registrar where I can get rid of the catchall email address and return some of the bad bounces. <Evil Grin>

Based on some recent dialog in another Topic, the word "registrar" seems possibly out of place. (or maybe not) ... There are Domain Registrars that will 'park' a Domain, forward e-mail, etc ... but that's basically just setting a couple of pointers. Actually getting in and setting filters, rules, etc. usually requires paying a "Host" somewhere ....

Yep. And maybe that's part of the service, however, Register4Less apparently has a special deal going where they do that for you. All's I know is I was browsing one of my favorite geeky web-comics where RFL is a major sponsor and noticed that there was an announcement where they "eliminate the catchall" email addresses... *shrug*

I *do* know whereof you speak, however... I used to work for an ISP. :-)

I am also getting to9ns of these. I don't use this domain name for sending mail, never have! Is there some why I can get my domains on the blacklist? I do recieve mail from them and I assign email address such as
spamcop[at]mydomainname.com so when I get spam I know who sold my email address but I never send any mail from the domains so I wish they would not be passed the spam reciever then the bounce back to me!
