Could anyone enlighten me why such spam:

would trigger a hacking attempt in the firewall (NIS 2007 Professional) when trying to move between folders. It obviously prevents me from moving it to the held mail folder in OE.

The only think I could guess at would be: PMDF-SMTP-Warning: Lines longer than SMTP allows found and truncated.
