Emails to my wife at spamcop are getting bounced around... I have set up spamcop to autoforward to her gmail account. Instead gmail gets messages like these.

I don't know why it's looping. AFAIK it's only forwarding to gmail.

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance...

Hi bseymour - There have been assorted problems with Gmail but that one - "This message is looping: it already has my Delivered-To line. (#5.4.6)" - seems to put it squarely in the SC court (though Gmail having a specific error message seems to imply it is not an uncommon occurrence). Greylisting involved, perhaps? http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=8650 Not sure how but it has to be something. Other users seeing this? Please speak up.

I'm trying to understand the need for the entire e-mail, both the plain-text and the HTML version of the body which have no bearing on anything dealing with your question .. why there was no attempt at munging the specific addresses involved, etc., etc., etc.

I'm wondering why there was no specific statement that the wife's account was actually looked at and that it was absolutely, positively certain that there was no way in the world that it just might be configured to "forward e-mail to a spamcop.net account" .. which is generally what a "loop" is all about .. both accounts trying to forward to each other.

Once all this gets sorted out, then there might be a chance that JT might need to be contacted to possibly check something else out, though it's hard to guess right now just what that might be ..... there just aren't that many different definitions for an "e-mail loop" ....

On the other hand, both the Return-Path: and the X-Forwarded-For: line contents leave me wishing that they actually made sense.
