Full Version: spam from Hotmail Live and Yahoo accounts
I've noticed that recently that I get a lot of spam from Hotmail Live and Yahoo email accounts. For about 4-5 years this was mostly unheard of. Is this a recent trend among spammers to use Hotmail Live and Yahoo email accounts. TIA.

Can you confirm that the spam has actually come from Hotmail/Yahoo accounts or have they simply been displaying (probably) forged Hotmail/Yahoo addresses as the sender.
I'm not aware of any increase in numbers from or pretending to be from any particular free Email service.

Yes I can. The headers show that they are coming from Windows Live Mail or Yahoo. I never pay attention to the "from" address on the spam.

Well, I can not confirm/duplicate your issue as it has been many months since I have had any spam from either of those sources. I did get a gmail-gmail spam message a couple months ago.

How about posting a Tracking URL? That's usually quite helpful.
