neles posted a topic in SpamCop Blocklist HelpHello guys, I came here hoping that the experts could help me. The last few days I've received some bouncing mails. The weird thing is that it is limited to some mail addresses. I can sent mail to most people without a problem, but some mails get bounced back. This is very weird and annoying. I called my ISP since the mails that have been bounced and my quick research suggest that it's my ISP's server that is blocked. They asked me to sent the same mail trough the webmail client, and that succeeded. So they closed the case, as it wasn't related to their network. If it would be the case that their mail server(s) is/are blocked wouldn't that cause all mail to be bounced back ? To help you guys sort the problem here are some details: ISP: UPC Country: Holland e-mail client: Mozilla Thunderbird Bounced mail: This Message was undeliverable due to the following reason: Each of the following recipients was rejected by a remote mail server. The reasons given by the server are included to help you determine why each recipient was rejected. Recipient: <recipient> Reason: Service unavailable; Client host [fep22.mx.upcmail.net] blocked by bl.spamcop.net; Blocked - see http://www.spamcop.net/bl.shtml?18.104.22.168 Please reply to <Postmaster[at]chello.at> if you feel this message to be in error. Hopefully i provided you guys with enough detail to help me sort this problem. Thanks in advance.
neles replied to neles's topic in SpamCop Blocklist HelpI did check that link. The link suggests that the problem lies at my ISP. But the thing that is confusing me the most is that my client (Thunderbird) rejects the mail and webmail doesn't ? Now is my ISP fairly big and it does has multiple mail servers. But everyone i use in thunderbird = bounced, and from webmail so far none have been bounced. The host upcmail.net is from my ISP. That is no stranger for me. Maybe i'm missing something?
