  1. >- Will there still be a "held email" at SpamCop I don't think so. Not sure. Once this settles out, it looks to me like the Email Service will end up being an email forwarding and spam filtering service. Hard to say. Too many details still to be worked out. - Don D'Minion - SpamCop Admin - - Service[at]Admin.SpamCop.net -
  2. >- and neither of those things is VER [the "Held Email" tab]. My understanding is that the "Held Email" tab will still work when you are logged into your account at http://www.spamcop.net/. - Don -
  3. SpamCop/Cisco does not own or operate the email service. We're attached at the wrists and ankles for spam reporting purposes, but we don't have any control. - Don D'Minion - SpamCop Admin - - Service[at]Admin.SpamCop.net -
  4. If you will EMAIL your login username (email address) to me, I will try to get a new password for you. EMAIL! Do not post that information here. - Don D'Minion - SpamCop Admin - - Service[at]Admin.SpamCop.net -
  5. >- all of our spam comes in by email via the email service Argh! Sorry! That's just not true. I don't know what I was thinking. We handle all incoming spam email ourselves. - Don D'Minion - SpamCop Admin - - Service[at]Admin.SpamCop.net -
  6. >- http://www.spamcop.net/w3m?action=ispsignupform I'm aware of the missing Captcha on that page. A bug fix has been filed. >- the "Reporting Server Status" indicates that there has been a problem for the last 5 or so hours That's an email problem. Nothing wrong with SpamCop. Except for a very few manual user reports, all of our spam comes in by email via the email service, which is down right now. - Don D'Minion - SpamCop Admin - - Service[at]Admin.SpamCop.net -
  7. Send me the email address you want to register and I'll test it. Send it to me via EMAIL at Service[at]SpamCop.net - Don D'Minion - SpamCop Admin - - Service[at]Admin.SpamCop.net -
  8. We're not going to stop sending reports to spamcop[at]serverhub.com. We've sent 184,926 reports to that address since it was created in March of 2013. - Don D'Minion - SpamCop Admin - - Service[at]Admin.SpamCop.net -
  9. 1. Copy/Paste the full (raw) headers and text into the SpamCop web form after you log into your account at http://www.spamcop.net/ If the spam is HTML encoded with fonts and styles, etc, you should first expose the underlying HTML code if you want SpamCop to look for web links. You can paste the spam into either the standard reporting box, or the two-part "outlook/eudora workaround form" if SpamCop is having trouble "finding" the links in the body text. 2. Create a plain text email addressed to your "submit" or "quick" submission address that CONTAINS the full (raw) headers and text of the spam (with underlying HTML code exposed if there is any). SpamCop will look inside your email for the spam. 3. Create a plain text email addressed to your "submit" or "quick" submission address that has the spam ATTACHED to it. This is what you are doing when you "Forward as Attachment." You can attach multiple spams if you keep the numbers down. I don't know how many is too many. You'll have to determine that by trial and error. - Don D'Minion - SpamCop Admin - - Service[at]Admin.SpamCop.net - .
  10. Removing IPv6 information from the headers so that SpamCop will process the spam is a material alteration, which is a HUGE TABOO with us. Changing the SpamCop code so it will handle IPv6 headers is a big challenge. IPv6 support is the focus of the new release, which is due out in a couple of months. - Don D'Minion - SpamCop Admin - - Service[at]Admin.SpamCop.net - .
  11. The next SpamCop version supports IPv6 parsing. The release should be out within the next 30 days. No promises. It could easily be 60 days, or even 90 days, but we're hopeful that it will be sooner rather than later. - Don D'Optimistic - SpamCop Admin - - Service[at]Admin.SpamCop.net - .
  12. I found it here: https://twitter.com/#!/Cesmail_status - Don -
  13. SpamCop plans to implement support for IPv6 headers later this year. - Don D'Minion - SpamCop Admin - - service[at]admin.spamcop.net - . [pinned]
  14. There is a new phishing spam going out that entices SpamCop Email users to give up their username and password. - Don D'Minion - SpamCop Admin -
  15. SpamCop won't process headers without accompanying body text. The "No data" error is just the workaround form's way of telling you it needs body text in the bottom box. - Don D'Minion - SpamCop Admin -
