  1. Oh, I see what you mean. When I'm logged in to Spamcop it's showing me the entire message for both tracking URLs. When I'm logged out I see what you see. Is that normal?
  2. Oh, I see what you mean. I didn't even notice that. I wonder if it's truncating the headers differently somehow. What I was doing was clicking "View entire message" and then comparing the data. When viewed this way each message looks exactly the same except for that extra blank line. In that case Spamcop should have been able to find the body of the message regardless of how I submitted the spam email, right? I'm thinking something else is going on behind the scenes that I just can't see. I haven't updated my mail software.
  3. Thank you for replying. I'm at a loss as to why Spamcop found the body of the message when I copied and pasted it in the Spamcop form, but it couldn't find the body when I forwarded the email. Except for that extra blank line they look the same when compared to each other. This just started happening within the past week or so.
  4. In the report that said it couldn't find the body it looks like there are 3 blank lines of text between the headers and the body. In the "valid" report it looks like there are 2 blank lines. Does the number of blank lines matter?
  5. I received a spam email. I forwarded it to Spamcop and Spamcop gave me this error: "No body text provided, check format of submission. spam must have body text." Tracking URL for forwarding the spam: https://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z6319400190zd4218da3c922a374aecded248fff722bz So I tried copying and pasting the email into Spamcop and this time everything went fine. Tracking URL for copying and pasting the spam: https://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z6319399663z46b2687fd57795709e1fd9d487e73f7fz When I compare the two reports and look at the full messages they look identical except for a blank line between the headers and the body. Any ideas? Please help and thank you. Dan
  6. SC is not finding an abuse contact for the spam linked below. When I visit ripe.net and perform my own search I can find the abuse contact. It looks like there are two options when searching the database. One is "Search resource objects in all available databases" and the other is "Search RIPE Database only" The abuse contact only comes up when selecting the later option, which also happens to be the default option. 7. I found out that when I forward a spam email to multiple addresses in the "To" field Spamcop will not find the website links. Why is that?
  8. I'm finding that if I forward the email to Spamcop it will not find the links in the email. If I copy and paste the email message using the web site then it will detect the links and let me send a report on them as well.
  9. Tracking URL: https://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z6249418806za42e5d7a50867d9b479ff267e19c1a3ez Any idea why Spamcop isn't seeing the link in the spam message referenced above? I copied the relevant part of the message below. <center> <div> <a href="http://gomaterial.co/16fWWWWwQo6f.fQD6TTS.BBdm?id=L" style="text-decoration: none; color: #25a3d2"> <img src="http://www.gomaterial.co/16fWWWWQo6W.fQD6TTS.BBL/L/logo" alt="" display:block; border:none; outline:none; text-decoration:none;"> </a> </div> <div> <a href="http://gomaterial.co/16fWWWWwQo6f.WQD6TTS.BBdm?id=L" style="text-decoration: none; color: #25a3d2"> <img src="http://www.gomaterial.co/16fWWWWQo6W.WQD6TTS.BBL/L/logo" alt="" border:none; outline:none; text-decoration:none;"> </a> </div>

    reporting .co domains

It seems that the IP is owned by Eonix and that the email address Spamcop finds is for a reseller and perhaps even the spammer himself. That's just a guess. Shouldn't the report go to Eonix instead which owns the block 173.232.0.0 - 173.232.255.255?
  11. https://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z6245378564z5cdadc322c2b1d6bfe643a7a2989f711z https://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z6245524868z7bd625ff249c6ff5e41309410ae74ad7z I receive a couple spam emails every day and the message will include a link to a website with a .co domain. Depending on the spam, Spamcop will tell me to report it to renderingpartner@gmail.com or to maniekmanfred69@gmail.com because, respectively, it determines that's the email for the administrator of the host site. I googled the email maniekmanfred69@gmail.com and found it being used on a money making forum. This seems fishy. It seems like the report would be going to the spammer. I was hoping someone could shed some light as to what's going on here. Dan
