    bl.ogs comment spam

Hi, maz, LTNS, hope you're feeling better. What IP Address(es) is/are being used to attach to your server to deliver the comments spam messages? What URL(s) is/are being hyped by the comments spam messages?
  3. Sorry, I meant "Has your intended recipient tried whitelisting at GoDaddy?".

    Our IP address is blacklisted

Please see Spamtrap in the SpamCop Glossary. Also, Report History only shows one actual Report: The other approx. 10-19 appear to be spamtrap hits.
  5. It does sound like you need some professional assistance with this problem.

    Past Report Question

If you are a paying Customer, you can look up the Report History for that spammer's URLs that you Reported. The Report IDs with links next to the IP Addresses are yours.

    Spam Problem

If you can't effectively track the source, can you effectively track the spamvertized URL(s) or other payload?
  9. Jeff G.

List members shouldn't be using SpamCop to report spam sent to the lists that they read.

Time to stop chasing spamvertized URLs

The proper way to do this is for the ISP to decide to mark the bait URLs as Innocent Bystanders. Then, only Reporters who have done their homework and agreeable SpamCop Deputies can combine to ask the ISP to reconsider the decisions on a URL by URL basis.

    Small HTML changes requested

That's a good idea. My current workaround for this need is to have series of User Notification reportees stored in a separate text file that I can paste in. That's a good idea, but it would probably be seen as encouraging specification of more than one User Notification reportee, which TPTB appear not to want to do. I am moving this Topic from the "SpamCop Reporting Help" Forum.

    Money- Order Scams

If you did not request the money order, there are two possibilities: The money order is forged. If you try to cash it, you may end up in a lot of trouble for forgery. The money order is real, but it was purchased with ill-gotten gains, and if you cash it, you may also get into a lot of trouble for receiving stolen property or money laundering. I am moving this Topic from "How to use .... > SpamCop Forum".
  13. They are also not complying with "Every Internet-reachable host should have a name" and "Make sure your PTR and A records match" per Section 2.1 of RFC1912 Common DNS Operational and Configuration Errors.

duplicate site is a spam ?

That sounds like copyright infringement to me. If I were you, I would contact abuse[at]gnax.net, abuse[at]topinnovative.com, abuse[at]dnsprotect.com, abuse[at]theplanet.com, my lawyer, and possibly abuse[at]level3.net.

  18. You could try contacting the SpamCop Deputies via deputies[at]spamcop.net with details you'd rather not post here in public.
  19. Perhaps you are a Mole Reporter, and thus your Reports aren't going to the responsible ISPs?

    IP address in the BL

It certainly appears that Chello is blocking SMTP connections from its own SCBL-listed customers. I guess that's one way to get its customers to pay attention to security.

    IP address in the BL

Of course, a reduction does not necessarily mean a complete cessation.

    aol.com is blacklisted on SpamCop

There are a few problems here: Your group's mailserver mailout-01.cobaltgroup.com [] is in fact listed by the SCBL - please see http://www.spamcop.net/bl.shtml? and http://www.spamcop.net/w3m?action=blcheck&ip= (including "If there are no reports of ongoing objectionable email from this system it will be delisted automatically in approximately 2 hours", "System has sent mail to SpamCop spam traps in the past week (spam traps are secret, no reports or evidence are provided by SpamCop)", and "In the past 82.7 days, it has been listed 3 times for a total of 4.1 days" for details. The email administrators for Duval Ford's duvalford.com domain at mail.smag.com (Scott-McRae Automotive Group. Inc.) are using the wrong rejection message. You actually believed the rejection message. Report History for follows: The rest of the reports were Spamtrap hits.
  25. imaphost.com is cyveillance, who want copies of ALL our Reports - please see http://www.google.com/search?q=Cyveillance...e%3Aspamcop.net (more specifically http://news.spamcop.net/pipermail/spamcop-...ber/006714.html) and the following for details.
