  1. I admit that I did not, because I've had mixed success with that route. I tried it, and was able to get an answer. Thanks.
  2. I've been having a parsing issue on one of the headers created by one of my mailhosts for a month now, which is preventing reporting of any spam. The only thing that has changed is that now the spam reports are directed to the SpamCop "bad reports" address. How do you reach any SpamCop deputies? I tried the deputies@admin.spamcop.net address but there was no response. Adding comments to the reports directed to Bad Reports doesn't seem to help. Does anyone see these?
  3. Not sure if this is the right forum... In https://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z6393858162z0a3365ed9cd12e5801796cbdd39f9546z, the parser analyzes this header: Received: from process-dkim-sign-daemon.st11p00im-asmtp002.me.com by st11p00im-asmtp002.me.com (Oracle Communications Messaging Server 8.0.1.2.20170607 64bit (built Jun 7 2017)) id <0OTW00800LPPVH00@st11p00im-asmtp002.me.com> for x (ORCPT x); Sun, 30 Jul 2017 13:14:47 +0000 (GMT) as: mac.com received mail from sending system 8.0.1.2 That is, it thinks the Oracle Communications Server version 8.0.1.2.20170607 is an IP address. This then fails the mailhost validation, but I'd think this is a parser issue, not really related to mailhosts.
  4. At what address? I tried both deputies@admin.spamcop.net and service@admin.spamcop.net, with no response. Mail address given in the mailhost pinned instructions (service@spamcop.net) bounces with "User doesn't exist".
  5. How do you add mailhosts when your email address domain is actually hosted on Office 365? For example, my email address is first.last@company.com. But mail sent to this address (via smtp.company.com) actually is rerouted from @company.com via some other domains and eventually to an Exchange server at outlook.com. When I try the mailhost configuration, it fails with error "The email sample you submitted for first.last@company.com appears to traverse more than one domain. Please ensure that you configure each mailhost individually and in order." This is is true, but I there's nothing I can do about that. I can't configure outlook.com because I don't have an outlook.com email address. And there is no way for me to receive email without it being forwarded along the server chain.
  6. I just re-sent, using a different SMTP server. I've learned before that sending spam submissions through Apple's (iCloud/MobileMe/Mac.com) SMTP server doesn't work; it thinks I'm sending spam and silently eats the message. I reported it to Apple, telling them they need to whitelist email going to SpamCop. But they never fixed it, so I know to route all the spam submissions through a different provider. So now it appears it thinks a mailhost problem report is also spam. Arrgh.
  7. I need to get a mailhost issue fixed, that is blocking reporting of all spam. But messages to service[at]spamcop.net bounce, and there was no response to messages to service[at]admin.spamcop.net or deputies[at]admin.spamcop.net. So now what?
  8. Sent to deputies, they said that they were having temporary mail issues at the service[at] addresses. So they're still good.
  9. Is there a new procedure for reporting mailhost issues? A message I sent on 8/3 to service[at]spamcop.net bounced ("User doesn't exist"). I resent it to service[at]admin.spamcop.net, which worked previously. That didn't bounce but there has been no reply.
  10. Spoke too soon. I tried doing a submission while also CC'ing myself, and I'm not getting that either. Now I'm really confused. Here's the results: 1. Submitted to SpamCop from FastMail via FastMail webmail through Apple's iCloud SMTP: SpamCop never received, no response. 2. Submitted to SC from desktop via iCloud SMTP: SC never received, no response 3. Submitted to SC from desktop via iCloud with CC of FastMail address: SC never received, and I didn't get the CC either 4. Submitted to SC from desktop via FastMail SMTP with CC of FastMail address: SC never received and I didn't get the CC and yet, all other email I send, including some test messages to these addresses, are working fine. This doesn't make any sense. It doesn't seem to be the SMTP server filtering it, because I tried two servers. It can't be FastMail filtering the response, because the Report link never activates, showing that SC isn't getting it. But then why don't I get the CC? It can't be local software blocking it, because FastMail webmail didn't work on a completely different machine. ... more testing ... OK, I think I'm getting blocked by two different SMTP servers, in two different ways: 1. I think the iCloud SMTP server thinks my SpamCop mail submission is spam, and is dropping it on the send. 2. I think the FastMail SMTP server is blocking any mail sent "From" a different address; meaning it is rejecting it because I was sending it from my iCloud address. I finally got it to work by using FastMail SMTP and sending from a Fast Mail address. WHAT A PAIN. This is exactly why it was much simpler to use submit spam reports from the SpamCop email system.
  11. I meant, none of the steps were a match, so yes, I'll need to report it.
  12. Today I forwarded (as attachment) spam to my personal spam submission address, but it went into a black hole: nothing was received back from the SpamCop AutoResponder, and it never showed up on the Report spam page. I tried it twice, on completely different spam, with same no-result. This used to work, as of October 3rd. Is it just me or is this a widespread problem?
  13. Several SpamCop.net links now just result in "Unknown action": Past Reports (http://www.spamcop.net/mcgi?action=histmenu) Preferences > Report Handling Options (http://www.spamcop.net/mcgi?action=showadvanced) Preferences > Add Fuel (http://www.spamcop.net/mcgi?action=paymenu) Is this a general issue, or is it related to the recent account changes? I'm wondering why the previous SpamCop Email subscribers are even seeing the Add Fuel item; I thought we were supposed to still have premium account access.
