  1. Thank you to Don and Steve!
  2. I put it in Email System because it was sent as From: Mail Delivery System Subject: Delivery Status Notification (Failure) Remote-MTA: dns; [4.30.97.4] which is IB.councilmail.bbb.org Reporting-MTA: dns; c62.cesmail.net I use Spamcop for Mail and I think Spamcop stopped it, not the Better Business Bureau. I think you may actually be overly picky in this case.
  3. I received a plish and forwarded it to the Better Business bureau using their suggested address: phishing[at]council.bbb.org I immediately received a reply from: Mail Delivery System <MAILER-DAEMON[at]c62.cesmail.net> as follows: The following message to <phishing[at]council.bbb.org> was undeliverable. The reason for the problem: 5.1.0 - Unknown address error 554-'rejected due to virus' Additional information link: Final-Recipient: rfc822;phishing[at]council.bbb.org Action: failed Status: 5.0.0 (permanent failure) Remote-MTA: dns; [4.30.97.4] Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 5.1.0 - Unknown address error 554-'rejected due to virus' (delivery attempts: 0) Reporting-MTA: dns; c62.cesmail.net My forwarded message was referenced by a different link. It contains identifying information so I am not posting it here. If anyone has an interest, please let me know how to safely supply it. I also reported the original message to spamcop. I'm not sure what happened here.

    New Feature: Greylisting *UPDATED*

I have been using the greylist feature for some time (almost from the time it was offered) and I have really appreciated the amount of spam it has removed from my account, but I have just a small complaint. Usually I don't have an issue with waiting for an e-mail from a new correspondent to be cleared through the greylist, so I just let it work automatically. Occasionally, I am interested is getting a new address cleared quickly, so I use the greylist management tool in webmail options to find the new message and clear it personally for delivery. When I do that, it disappears from the held list immediately, but doesn't show up in my inbox for up to an hour later. I would appreciate it if someone would look into why it doesn't show up in my inbox immediately.

Found a possible solution at my ISP and it seems to have worked.

I'm getting a lot of these lately

Spamcop Report I'm seeing a lot of these lately. The usafa1965.org site is mine, and these failed delivery messages are getting forwarded to me since the addresses don't exist. Anyone else having similar issues or have a suggestion on how to handle it better than manually reporting everyone of them?

    Interesting Nigerian Letter

Probably the best I've seen yet. Spamcop Report ID Go to the link and click View Entire Message
  11. Has nothing to do with my situation. I have had the spamcop.net entry in my whitelist for years. I didn't receive any plishing e-mail regarding spamcop. This is clearly a case of a bogus sending address, even the spam analysis said so. I've removed the entry from my whitelist, so it will be interesting to see what happens. Off subject, I really like the graylist!
  12. An example is at Spamcop Report Most of them seem to be copies. The themes are ED and bogus Academic degrees. I have the graylist on and all of the blacklists on. I had spam assassin set to 2 (been there for years), but I set it to 3 today. Everything has been fine until the last month or so, but it's getting really annoying now (dozens of spam in the inbox every day). Is this a common problem?
