  1. Please accept my apologies for any posting that I have made in the wrong place. I must also apologise for not having the intelect to enable me to understand yours and the others that have replied to my posts. Because of the "language" that is in use on this board you are excluding ordinary mortals from participating in what is a very worthwhile project to try to eliminate spam. I appreciate that you are trying to be helpful but until you are able to better communicate, people like myself are denied any involvement.

    The replies, I'm afraid shed no light upon the problem. NTL is one of my mail servers. I have set this mail host up. What do you mean by "configuring MailList" ?
  3. Ellen explains that you should configure your mailhosts in a particular order. I configured my mailhost before I read her post. Can you say if the order that my mailhosts are listed are the order in which they appear on screen, i.e. the top one first or perhaps the top one last, or maybe something else. The examples given in her posting are for emails that are forwarded, what about mailhosts that are not forwarded, does the order for these matter? Is there a bug in this awful board software that ignores my request to have replies to my postings emailed to me? I always click Enable email notification of replies, but the replies aren't notified.

    If I delete my MailHosts will I be able to report spam as I did before? <Delete your MailHosts is the standard answer, but .... sorting out what went <wrong would be the wiser path to take.

    This seems to me to be very similar to my experience. The system is clumsy and unpredictable and not user friendly.

    New system doesn't work

    The new system is the Mail Host system that I recently registered for. I am trying to report spam. I am forwarding the spam to the email address provided. Outlook Express. I am using the free SpamCop account.
  8. Since this new system started I can't send any spam reports. I always get:- No source IP address found, cannot proceed. Add/edit your mailhost configuration Finding full email headers Submitting spam via email (may work better) Example: What spam headers should look like Nothing to do. How do I fix this?
  9. This whole web site is so clumsy and difficult to navigate. I am looking for help and have no idea as to whether or not I am wasting my time here. Anyhow, my problem is that my submissions of spam lately have been ignored. I used to have replies which enabled me to report the spam, they have been missing for some time now. I went to the SpamCop web site and was told that I needed a new password. One was emailed to me, but when I tried to log on it was not accepted. How do I proceed?
