    Anyway to have Spamcop report to abuse[at]enom.com instead of/or in addition to abuse[at]namecheaphosting.com?

    &nbsp &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp No guarantee but chances are better if you would post this to the SpamCop Reporting Help → Routing / Report Address Issues Forum.

    Also, how does one complain to District Attorneys or the Attorney General?

    &nbsp &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp That would depend on the District Attorney/ Attorney General. For some ideas, you could peruse the results at URL http://www.goodsearch.com/search-web?utf8=✓&keywords=%2B(complain+OR+complaint)+%2B("attorney+general"+OR+"district+attorney"). For the US Attorney General, you could check the Department of Justice web site. However, my guess is that unless someone has lost a lot of money or a state or federal agency has been victimized, District Attorneys and Attorneys General are unlikely to do much with your complaint.
  2. &nbsp &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Here's one:

    Ingredients:

    • Water
    • Spaghetti

    Preparation:

    • Pour water into a pot that will hold at least twice as much water as needed to completely submerge the spaghetti.
    • Bring water to a rapid boil.
    • Add spaghetti.
    • Return to boil.
    • Cook for another eight minutes or until it has reached desired level of softness (taste some to test it).
    • Turn off heat.
    • Drain spaghetti as thoroughly as possible.
    • Add seasoning and spices to taste. Spaghetti sauce, either store-bought or homemade, onion (white, green, sweet, powdered), garlic powder, cheese are popular options.

    :) <g>

    I hoped that it really wasn't necessary to join a forum just to find out how

    <snip>

    &nbsp &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Well, it wasn't really necessary -- you could have used the Forum search feaature or Google without joining the Forum but it was almost certainly easier to join and post the question that it would have been to find the contact address with a search! :) <g> I'm glad it worked out -- thanks for taking the time to let us know!

  4. &nbsp &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Thanks, Slickone, I didn't know that there were such settings! I assume that you are referring to Yahoo!Mail's Settings | "Mail Version" choices " Full featured (recommended) - View photo slideshows, drag and drop attachments, personalize your theme, and more." and " Basic." It turns out that I have the "Full featured" setting but neither Ctrl Forward nor Ctrl-Alt-F work for me. The former results in the spam appearing inline and the latter results in no action at all. :( <frown>

  5. &nbsp &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Oh, no, as an econ major I had to know a lot more than that! :) <g> But, yes, for most of us it is pretty much all that is needed; too bad so few know of it or, if they know, accept it. :( <frown>!

  6. Oh, alright then, TANSTAAFL tanstaafl Tanstaafl - TWO regular expressions, this one case-insensitive

    &nbsp &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp If I remember correctly (and it's been a very long time, so there's a very good chance that I don't! :) <g>), TANSTAAFL is what Heinlein used; too bad it doesn't work! :( <frown>
  7. &nbsp &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp Wow, Steve, excellent -- thank you! So, I'll continue this paragraph with some meaningless verbiage just so I can see the full effect of the "tab" command on a long paragraph, not that I have any doubt that it will work exactly as you describe it. Be that as it may, this relatively long paragraph should convince me beyond a reasonable doubt that it does, indeed, work as I wish. And since I don't see a need to use it in conjunction with other formatting commands, your caveat should not matter to me. :) <g>

    &nbsp &nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp And, of course, I now see that it does exactly what I want -- thanks, again! Edit: except that neither [ tab ] nor [ /tab ] throws a line feed, as some other tags, such as [ quote ], do! But not a serious problem; I'll just have to enter my own explicit line feed.

  8. When forum auto whitespace removal
    ...Ooh, do tell more, please!
    <snip>

    use the (newly-added) 'indent' tag

    <snip>

    Nice, thanks!

    ...What I really want is an "indent first line" tag so I can stop with the stupid ellipsis!

  9. ...Hm, I don't see that at all. All I see is the end of the CES "SpamCop" e-mail. As mentioned elsewhere, SpamCop parser reports and the SpamCop blacklist are not at all dependent upon reports from CES e-mail users (although I'm sure that the blacklist benefits to some degree from the ease of reporting offered). The SpamCop spam Traps, web site reporting and reporting by forwarding spam via e-mail remain, as does the SpamCop Forum.

  10. ...Oh, I have no doubt that's the correct e-mail address. And the correct one to use -- if it made sense for this to be handled with e-mail exchanges with each and every "SpamCop" e-mail user. I'm just saying that the e-mail support people may be able to think of a better way and this Forum is the place to ask.

  11. IIFC the reporting-only service just reports anything you submit as spam. You decide what's spam before you report it, so no need for Held Mail.
    Is to. That's where filtered mail goes!
    ...You misunderstood the question or the reply or both, I believe. I don't believe that the reply meant to say that there would be no value in having a facility that works like "Held Mail" does in "SpamCop e-mail," just that the way the SpamCop reporting-only system works, there are no "hooks" provided for e-mail systems (other than "SpamCop" e-mail) to use. Instead, the user must identify an e-mail as spam and submit it to the SpamCop parser either manually via the online form or to the "secret" SpamCop submission e-mail address.
