    what the h#*l is that

Welcome to the "new world order" Australian "Supermarkets" are into a annoying habit of moving/changing product whereabouts of goods The "official" explanation is that they wish all stores to be uniform with one The real reason is that the current "text book" (they all use) states the longer you can keep customers in stores the more they buy Television current "textbooks" claim that by delaying advertised program times (often by 30 minutes) It "hooks" people into watching 30 minutes of some boring horror like "the young and the useless" to get you hooked on both programs Politics are finding that using the "Power of Nightmares" keeps you effectively voting for someone you probably shouldn't (banned in the USa & probably Australia) A Canadian Magician friend of mine "The GREAT Wazzoo" (of all names) Makes animal balloons which he sells to kids, his carnival operatives "pop" the balloons The kids cry and parents buy more? I find it hard to believe that "uselessness" or dopiness is a theme that ISP's use to cover up the antics they all use from the SAME text book other ISP's use is believable

    what the h#*l is that

In the mean time for four days now Alselphia.net are still spewing spam as fast as the modem can push it out. This is only one of a great many zombies pouring out spew from different providers In this case I have sent unmunged reports and even contacted Aldelphia by their web form. Still the spew continues with no end in site I most certainly believe that many ISP's do find they conveniently make money by allowing this to happen In fact ISP's are often the source of the trojan that starts it as this article I believe correctly infers Your ISP may be hosting spam zombies!

    what the h#*l is that

Not many in Australia New Zealand and much of Europe that do not charge for excess bandwidth Particually with cheaper end monthly accounts (example) Regional Residential ADSL 512/128k 512K Value/200MB 6 month contract $24.95 CC 200MB Free then 15c/MB (they do have a maximum charge limit of $35 on top of this however) Whats your expalnation for Adelphia not stopping this Zombie spew (I have sent them over 20 unmunged reports since sunday and still sending, all are being caught in my VER folder). Bandwidth is not free and someone will have to cough up. I'm also told that you are wrong about the USA not charging (particually) those that have minimal accounts not being charged extra for excess bandwidth (I would also be going over the/your ISP fine print)
  10. Plagerised from Reduce spam by educating your ISP spam zombies make money for the ISP Think about it. If one residential user's PC is sending 100,000 spams/day, and we assume a typical spam message is 4 Kb, that's a transmission of more than 11 Gb/month! Most ISPs are going to charge an extra fee to a residential, broad-band user for using so much bandwidth. What's worse is that ignorant users may not realize why their bandwidth is so high (when they see the surcharges on their bill). When they phone up the customer support about thier bill, the ISP may encourage them to upgrade to a higher forfeit bandwidth package. Zombies are not the only reason why bandwidth usage could be high. Peer-to-peer applications (BitTorrent, E-mule, etc.) are very popular. A user running one of these applications and also infected with a zombie would have to be fairly sophisticated to be able to know what percentage of bandwidth was due to zombie spams originating from his PC. I'm not saying that ISPs have a formal policy to not shut down zombies because they generate traffic. But it's clear that if we allow them to keep their zombies, they are profiting from it!

    Lack of SMTP Service

You are right SpamCop NEEDS a SMTP server Even if it becomes a SpamCop Plus (Bond required) to deter some loon not securing their computer or even spamming If bond lost it be donated to SpamCops Legal fund (suggestion) To get Plus back again another US$100 bond be paid. The losing of this money is entirerly at the descretion of Email owner/operator or his appointed minder/s (SpamCop Deputies?) Windows users only have to ensure they are at least using the freeware (microsoft ones you have already paid for) programs my Signature links refer to, to maintain secure computing IE-SPYAD while worth considering is not needed (Unless the PC is operated by "Naive" users) (the password saver is freeware for 20 passwords usable both from PC as well as from USB - SpamCop email have a maximum of 30 keyboard characters I sugest using a minimum of at least eight Alphanumeric characters 30 random alpha characters are equal to 240bit security, Banks use 128 bit security)

    what the h#*l is that

It seems reporting the website has many removed which helps deter spammers The problem is, as always, providers reacting to abuse reports not at all? http://www.senderbase.org/?searchBy=ipaddr...204.186.129.219 shows your reported IP still spewing spam up 12000% over a day SpamCop has most if not all of these IP's blocked very early in the piece PAys to dump your provider if they have not protected the email address they dump on you (these are NOT free) Demand a discount for the crappy "service" they have you pay for as compensation for not using their compulsory email This link explains why "spam zombies make money for the ISP Think about it. 13. I had two bounces which included the addresses They were in alpahbetical order but looked like just masses of email addresses. The servers on what I see as new trogans are really spewing spam like up over 5000% a day (I have found 4 zombies now being used for this spam attack) Don't understand german but sites referanced seem to be anti-immigration into Germany?
  14. http://www.spamcop.net/w3m?action=checkblock&ip=69.166.151.154 It's listed as a dialup by MAPS? Possibly now a zombie cable modem The owner has not read my signature (seems to be attacking spamcop addresses? All are addressed to mailhost<AT>spamcop<DOT> net with a different from address) Reported 6 times today 69.166.151.154 Is sending German political nonsense linking to various german webbased chat forum sites IP locator has it's German source as Cleveland, OH, US SenderBase has it spewing email today, going up in stats every time I look at present up 1155% over 30 days (lunch time Sydney was 115%)

    what the h#*l is that

This arse is sending masses of them from realitivly new trojanised IP's like http://www.senderbase.org/?searchBy=ipaddr...g=219.89.113.14 http://www.senderbase.org/?searchBy=ipaddr...=69.166.151.154 Now to wait for the bounces

    what the h#*l is that

Yes they have been sending to me and getting reported and blocked http://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z763884465ze1...7e333bb9e5902ez I'm suspecting some spammer grub has found these "forums" and is just putting email addresse in them? (Mine seem to be sent to spamcop domains possiby a disgruntled spammer ) Keep reporting them at last it keeps the trojanised PC in the SCBL
  17. Now that this clown has blocked that (69.166.151.154) IP "it" has now switched to IP 210.23.137.241 still sending to a spamcop domain address last being X-User<AT>spamcop<DOT>net Just seemed to take a lot of abuse reports to block a "DUL"

    URLs not reported

What you see in Windows is not what a "safe" or text browser sees SpamCop tries to resolve URL's before reporting them. If SpamCop cannot connect it won't report (SpamCop tries to err on the side of caution) this is what a safe browser from SamSpade see's You can however report these URL's yourself if you have time and think there is a need to (The site is in german and even the translation makes little sense to me Seems to be an imigration site?)
  19. Probably find help on many sites Abuse Net has a very7 good one If you go to spamcops website you can also get copies of SpamCop abuse reports by clicking HERE.
  20. For windows machines Password Depot offers 20 passwords for doing this in freeware mode. Which makes logging in a doddle and secure. This program will work from your PC, a USB drive as well (on any other Windows computer) remember the maximum password length for webmail is 30 characters (alphanumeric is best) You need a password of your own to access and open the PasswordDepot list you create
  21. Confirms my view that one should NEVER accept the email address your ISP dumps on you (And demand a discount for not having one) The only reason spammers spam is because ISP's do nothing to stop them. In fact they encourage them. If spammers could not get through to your inbox they would have no point in trying A Hotmail account is very good option because Microsoft hunt them down with intentions to take what money they have and then jail them. Hotmail also offer a very effective spam filter and a whitelist (which overrides all black/blocklist's) Of course a SpamCop email address is the only address you will ever need. SpamCop accurately put only legit email in your inbox and spam in a Very EasyReporting (VER) folder. ISP's of course delete legit email and only allow spam in the email folder they compulsory give you (It's NOT free! You and your milked bank account are what pay for it) That said one should be a bit cautious whith handing out your main address and use a Free Hotmail account as first contact always with a Hard_2_guess<AT>hotmail<DOT>com logon (eight Alphanumerical or better)

Want to Boot from a USB drive?

Just pointing out that the drives I linked to were located in USA, I'm in Australia and have no connection to the person/s selling the drives (I included the link to best prices I could see on EBAY without auction/bidding it also provided specifications as always there would of been even better prices and as one waits they drop further) I did try and get information on making Bootable USB drives some time ago in "spamcop.geeks" as it provides possible a way of not carrying a Laptop with you when travelling. I did get some feedback, it seemed some interested but did not know how it was done (Now they do) The size of units fit in top pocket no power supply needed and are a big plus for me in my present task with my company who use the same Desktops through out

    [Resolved] Ask for help

Your server is bouncing email to spamtraps (as well as to everyone) the Hot Fix should stop this I suspect you also need to give contact information to Abuse.net You can (Just once) delete listing by going here near page bottom Make sure you are not likley to be relisted (stop the mindless bouncing)

A step in the right direction

The 'service" is going to help cut down on virus (by compulsory screening) not sure if the FireWall is going to be software or hardware (ideally both is what is required) My signature shows free software for this No mention of spam prevention? It is best never to use an email address provided by an ISP as they really are not interested in much except milking your bank account. By not using their "email service" you would save $8 a month or $116 a year
