  1. Nope? but that page was put up only after I submitted a abuse report? However the kiddie porn bit did seem suspiciously overboard and accept the poor sod is being attacked by scammers. Hopefully he can have the law work on his side Whomever posted through a European Zombie the ISP will have logs and a spanish jail room ready for the fraudsters
  2. Sent to a legacy (Non SC) email account this was the email address in spam body dynamoo<AT>spamcop<DOT>net if you click it this address is also on the spamvertised contact URL
  3. Losing services to GOOD email providers are we? As to your statistics fitting catagory of lies damn lies then there are statistics For instance I don't know why my present provider as do all providers stick one with a compulsory email address? I and a great many like me, just don't want and won't bother using! So your 20 million of French spam targets means??? My list of partners also do not use the email account their ISP sticks them with either I wouldn't be interested in using your server if you also did not effectively and accurately protect me from spam as SpamCop Email Service does Wonder how many other paying customers feel this way. I do not use any Australian providers for a trusted and reliable email account. I just use and pay for SpamCop email account. (I'm in Sydney Australia) Many of which also have infomercials on TV or magazines all proved to me to be worse than usless. My business relies on my receiving email without overdoses of spam and or losing email to do so would cost me my livelihood.
  4. If you are ending up on our SpamCop members list, which we (SpamCop email users) use for sorting potential spam email, you have a problem Many ISP's borrow this list to very effectively and accurately protect their user's from Joe Job's, spam virus attacks, etc. by simply bitbinning email although not intended for this. Private users also use many different programs such as MailWasher There are lists created by major providers (i.e. AOL, MSN, etc) which are not public and will just bitbin without any warning. The fact is if you are on SpamCop's SCBL you are most likley getting yourself listed on a major majority of private blacklists, in which you don't know you are on and are very hard to get removed from. (For instance my company operates such secret blacklists as do most) A major concern should be that if you use a static IP (and you do not spam) your computer is a Zombie This means every thing on it is not private Example News story The next possibility is if you are a system administrator you are bombing people with denial of service attacks called a Joe Job if so you immediatly need to adjust your system to modern best practice of today "Postmasters, please limit forgery blow-back" If you have a windows computer go through the links in my signature which are free programs for private users and should get your computer secure If you post the IP concerned here better (IMO the best) advice will be given to you on how to correct your system's problem even if you do operate a marketing system (People here can advise on Best Practice

    Help Please?

You can by reading the headers identify the ISP and possibly the town the email came from further checks in google can often identify the person sending the email If you can identify the IP in the email header you past it into the box Here and it should show you the town where the posting came from Pasting the same IP in this box should identify the ISP
  6. Many spamvertised sites are setup on hacked Zombie computers meaning it takes to long to for spamcop to verify that site is live You can report these sites yourself a exellent windows tool for this is SpamDeputy Also checkout the sites on my signature to ensure ones computer is secure
  7. Some online bank users blocked because of spyware threat http://www.stuff.co.nz/stuff/0,2106,3215585a11,00.html

    Why not whitelists

Sounds like rubbish to me? They have no customers or reputation that I know of? I do not see anybody but themselves touting their claims as true! This the CEO there is a product developed/bought for CISCO systems called Zombie Killer which seems to be at the heart of Kelkea (MAPS) service

Blocked for sending to a trap

Return-Path: deputies<AT>admin<DOT>spamcop<DOT>net is a working email address which you can reply to and SpamCop will try to answer in 24 hours Your "subscriber" who uses an unguessable spamcop spamtrap address (over 40 characters/numerals long) does not want you to send them email. If you have to contact them you will have to use the Postal Service and or telephone (3am calls are best usually home) I do not see how they subscribed in first place using a SpamTrap address. You sound like you are sending email to a unconfirmed address All subscription email addresses are first sent one email letter and ONLY if that address is replied to further contact can be made A resnoble rendition of email standards is in BondedSender loook under CONSENT and UNSUBSCRIBE

Blocked for sending to a trap

SpamCop spamtrap addresses are unique 352bit crackable/uncrackable email address (Banks only use 128bit) which would only be gathered by a "web bot spam spider" and or email sending virus! SpamCop spamtrap addresses have over 40 characters/numerals/non-numerals in them and are non-guessable (They can if spotted be used deliberately in a return address, however they are routinely taken off line and replaced) One report to a Spamtrap would not get an IP listed it would take a number like from a AUTORESPONDER? You can read it here Basically spammers send spam with "joe Job" return addresses (often spamcops spamtrap addresses)to non-existent addresses on ones server (as do email sending virus) To mindlessly bounce email is nowadays helping a spammer and will end one up on the SCBL Request for private assistance can be done by "clicking here Click

    Spamcop blocking affects the innocent

Your problem is that neither you or your email provider know about email. Consider getting a SpamCop email account NO email is lost. You would be Getting the ONLY email address you will ever need encourage your recipients to do this also and they will recieve all email without spam going to their inbox (I am in Sydney Australia used SpamCops most exellent service for years) Your ISP is no doubt very happy in milking his ca$h cows (i.e. $YOU$) without offering a service If your ISP was on the ball you would never be blocked by SpamCop! SpamCop would of sent an email to their (your providers) registered address before being added to it's SCBL. The fix is quick and simple. Unfortunately many providers do not even have a working email address and or bother to read it. They just want to milk their cash cows SpamCop's members list (SCBL) does not block email addresses Every computer is allocated an IP address which should be stamped on email headers identifying to your provider whose computer sent the email which should also identify you. It is this IP number that SpamCop lists and many ISP's wisley use it to block as it will often list an IP addreses as it tries to spam not after the "spam run" which can take hours. This means a spammers run hits silicon hell in seconds. When spam from that IP address ceases that IP is then freed (SpamCop members use it to sort email while using a WhiteList meanining email is never bitbinned but sorted accuratly to a reporting folder where it is easily checked as spam then if not released, Very Easily Reported, also known as VER by SpamCop email users ) Some ISP's do not bother to have their email set-up compliant to world standards causing the next identifiable IP up the chain to be listed Check to see how accurate YOUR provider is Depending on how competent your or the email receiving ISP is. Should mean that if your computer is listed by SpamCop it has been hacked (unless you spam) and ALL information on it is available to this/these hackers. Your computer is then known as a ZOMBIE and access to it is sold to spammers so it can be used to send mass spam to the planet (If it contains credit card number bank accounts and passwords they will also have these, as well as your address for perhaps blackmail or even home invasion) In reality if SpamCop has your computer blocked it is perhaps telling you to GET OUT OF THE HOUSE NOW!! To secure your computer (at least check its secure) and keep it that way you should follow the links in my signature

ROKSO spammers are professional spam gangs If one uses SpamCop Members sort list (otherise known as the SCBL)none of it would get to your in box

    Legal Action

No problem for me. SpamCop is alway's perfect and of course the very best spam protection on the planet when used competently. I never get false positives or spam in my inbox (well maybe one a month) as I use it to sort email with my/a whitelist My SpamCop members sort list protects me and everyone else from drongo providers who bounce email/viruses to spamtraps as well as Job Job the planet! Then yell it's SpamCop's fault that we are annoying idiot's "Postmasters, please limit forgery blow-back" might wish to read before opening mouth for foot, or go away continuing to be ignorant

    confused by the blocked message

Possibly you were on it? but are no longer on it SenderBase still say you are blocked by SpamCop (it takes a while to propagate around) Sounds like you are doing one of the following to SpamCops SpamTraps "Delayed bounces, virus notices, vacation messages and other forms of auto-response are frequently misdirected and can cause the sending systems to be blocked" Read about it by clicking here
  15. It needs to be the opposite? If one wishes to continue recieving your emails then they need to reply If you do NOT get a reply they are NEVER to be bothered again A good how to do this is by going to Bonded Sender and look at passage CONSENT and passage UNSUSCRIBE to see the riot act on professionalism
  16. If you are getting a copy of the spam in the bounced email report as I suggested (do not use SpamCop for this) make it a personal abuse report If there are no "attachments" showing you the spam and its source you can use spamcop for reporting the ISP for "misdirected bounces" (this is unlikley to be the source of the spam)
  17. You have to report (using the "DAT" or contained file in bounce) the source from where the spam is being sent from (you are not allowed o use SpamCop to do this) SpamCop can however help you in giving abuse addresses for personel reports Seems to work for me

    Password Size?

Looks like JT is correct (30 is maximum) I just used random 26 lowercase/Upercase characters numbers (giving 208 bit security) and it works (numbers and Characters only no symbols) Willl change this shorty to an undisclosed (higher or lower) number as giving away password size is also a "clue" but 208 bit security is better than a banks
  19. What is the maximum size for passwords is 30 characters to many What characters can be used Personally I like to use between 45 and 60 random characters and numbers with symbols such as"=" signs included for maximum security Can this be accommodated or is one limited to upper & lower case QWERTY with numerals
  20. I agree The whitelist is hard to update I try to whitelist domains and only use specific domain addresses when it becomes a problem to keep the list shorter
  21. petzl

    Password Size?

Yes JT has reset my password he believes the limit is 30 but right now not game to try it (Will try again next sunday Sydney Australia time) I don't expect much mail on Sunday Monday
  22. petzl

    Password Size?

I used 50 and are presently locked out No error message nothing so the limit is less than 50 (What the number is though I don't know) HotMail seems to be between 8 & 15 (at least the box only holds fifteen characters) I use 40 to 50 randomly generated uppercase lowercase qwerty characters with random numbers on most accounts I wish to be really secure (equal to 400 bits) I use a password saver on a USB drive so remembering them is no problem, The password file is also available (hidden) on my website also heavily encrypted by two different algorythm methods
  23. Bonded Sender The Original and the Best I would say this is important if it is not encouraged expect Bandwidth for "Very Easy Reporting" or VER to keep slowing down further and further Support from US SpamCop users would add momentum to the "profit line" of SpamCop's very dedicated users This whitelist will override all other selected blacklists (of course it is up to you/us whether you/we select it) I feel it is important that "we" endorse SpamCop's financial backers
  24. petzl

    Why not whitelists

I see BondedSender and SpamCop as ideal and complementery to each other and if one of BondedSenders customers does start spamming it's (1) easily traced by SpamCop & (2) easily and immediatly blocked by SpamCop Remember for properly configured e-mail servers SpamCop easily blocks the SOURCE without blocking the server it went through Once dedicated and Whitelisted e-mail servers become the norm, it will mean only whitelisted e-mail servers will be accepted by well everyone and children starting on internet will only associate spam with spam (that exellent meal in a tin)
  25. petzl

    Why not whitelists

To use Bonded Sender whitelist is free and as easy to use as a Blacklist Bonded sender to be listed are not free and require a Bond each SINGLE spam Complaint costs that user US$20 Bonded Server is free for one to use as a whitelist to subscribe it has to be paid for It is needed now will people use it is another matter. That letter from your Bank or Solicitor WOULD arrive if Bonded sender was used Check out BondedSenders Riot act to see
