Stop spam from online mail servers

I would suggest the following: check this link to see who gets reports for your IP blocks: http://www.spamcop.net/fom-serve/cache/94.html If possible, have your problem customers blocked for port 25 except to your own mail server. (This works well! ) We call every customer that gets a spamcop complaint. They also get an email warning. I have made it policy for our company that if the customer does not have a valid contact phone number we lock them until we can call them back on a working phone number. ... welcome to abuse desk h*ll

wrong IP in open proxy complaint ?

I have not had any new reports for this IP address yet. And yes, I do wish I had the ability to yank a few connections from time to time. For this IP block, we just do email, I have no access to the dhcp server. I will retest tomorrow, and then speak to the customer service manager. == no more keythumping for me tonight.. I'm done for today..

wrong IP in open proxy complaint ?

I'd be willing to agree with you .... if you could explain how and why the X-Line: stuff should be considered "valid" .... If you'll look again at the parse output, you'll not that this IP / line isn't even looked at .... X-Line: stuff can be added anywhere, by anyone, therefore can't be trusted for much of anything. In tracking down the "chaining" of the servers that "handled" the e-mail, it's the "Received:" lines that count. 17813[/snapback] So now I will go have at my customer. Thanks for taking the time to explain this

    Spamcop report response

I'm also far behind in my abuse tasks. I think the abuse desk for liquidweb.com should be noticed: Parsing input: 64.91.241.115 host 64.91.241.115 = underworld.liquidweb.com. (cached) Reporting addresses: abuse[at]liquidweb.com Well done!

New Spam email message that disgusts me..

My current pet pieve is mail admins that send virus complaints to postmaster. Just because the originating email address pretends to be from our system, they do not bother to include the originating headers. They do, however send the original virus. Can anyone suggest a good boiler plate to reply with?

ONLINE JOB -- 12000 RUPEES PER WEEK- deepa

... I wonder if many Americans realise that Canadian taxation goes a long ways to keep drug costs down. I am willing to bet if Canada stoped the shipments back to the US, there would be a free trade challange.

    open proxy

Telus will not delegate the IP block, so there is no reverse dns.

    chello doesnt take action..

try SpamAssassin, OR find a better ISP. You get what you pay for. I like what companies like Telus have started doing. They nolonger let their users access to port 25, unless they route via the Telus mail servers. Wish our company did this. -- Gary
