How We Use SpamCop - Detailed Examples Category
This Category, which is indexed for easier reference, will contain links to pages providing detailed "How I / We use SpamCop". When creating your detailed page entry, we would appreciate it if you could use the following page name syntax:

It has currently been divided into the following three sub sections:
- BobbeaR - Using OE and Firefox to parse spam and then report it using both SpamCop and manual reporting. He has included an interesting way to make reporting go faster by multitasking.
- LcusdtecH - Server Admin using some filters to block mail, add'l filters to filter mail, full reporting of those that make it to the inbox.
- LkinG - Using local filters, sorts spam into categories, forwards as attachment to SpamCop as well as other reporting agencies. Includes step by step instructions.
- PGTips91 - ISP pre-filtering, Thunderbird secondary filtering, 'Forward as Attachments', full reporting with "coaxing" the parser to find embedded URLs miss in the first pass. Note: no altering of the original message is done
which includes access to SpamCop Reporting with additional options not available to either free or paid "Report Only" Account users.
- GraemeL - Using "clean" and "dirty" master email address with multiple alias's, IMAP, POP3 and a separate SpamCop address for filtering.
- JeffG - Uses SpamCop Services in multiple ways. Jeff G. is one of the moderators in the SpamCop Forums
- PeterJ - Uses IMAP with POPFile filtering keeping all mail on the SpamCop server and either Thunderbird or WebMail to read the mail.
- StevenUnderwood - This example includes the ISP's requirement to POP before allowing SMTP. He currently use the beta SMTP service provided by SpamCop. Steven Underwood is one of the moderators in the SpamCop Forums
- TimK - SpamCop for spam filtering, a separate IMAP provider for rules based filtering and mail storage, a local client for mail processing.
- TelariN - Exchange Admin using blocking rather than filtering
