How do I get my email program to reveal the full, unmodified email / header data?

The problem is that most e-mail applications installed on a user's computer 'hide' a lot of the critical data actually included in a received e-mail, the developers thinking that most folks don't need to see all that 'garbage' .... even worse, most e-mail applications these days are setup to allow the use of HTML code that was once strictly for web-page development. This was done so you could see the dancing purple elephants, the 27 different sized fonts in 13 different colors on an orange background, and even the occasional picture of the grand-kids .... unfortunately, this is yet another useful (?) application that spammers and virus/trojan writers have included in their abuse of the "net" ....

For the SpamCop Parsing and Reporting system to analyze your spam, all the gory details must be revealed and provided to the parser. The problem is that not all e-mail applications work the same way, not all are even capable of providing a true copy of what was actually sent. In an attempt to address this bit of confusion, there have been some Frequently Asked Question (FAQ) entries developed to explain how to get this needed data from the majority of the major software selections. Until this Wiki gets populated, the following links are provided to the existing data ....

note: this detailed examples section is still under construction.
