How can I use the SpamCopDNSBL (SCBL) without a mailserver?

Many spam filtering systems automatically use the SpamCop blocklist (SpamCopDNSBL or SCBL) as part of a larger scheme. Others include or can be configured to use the SpamCop blocklist (SpamCopDNSBL or SCBL) in addition to other BLs.

SpamCop.net does not review or guarantee these third party products.

One very effective and well-known filter is Spam Assassin .. an open-source perl scoring system. Spam Assassin can be installed on linux/unix-based systems in either system-wide or in "user land". It is highly configurable.

For Windows users, SpamPal uses DNSBL lists as part of the filtering process/configuration.
