Page name format. With additional testing and viewing other sites I have discovered that page names do not have to be in
WikiName format. As relates to the Glossary the question then becomes should single word entries be created in
WikiName format or in normal format. Example:
Bounce or
BouncE The other interesting formating issues I found was that if a page name is spelled correctly it can be turned into a link simply by surrounding it with double square brackets. If it is spelled differently then it must follow the full syntex of Open double square bracket, page name, space, displayed name, closed double square bracket. The displayed name can be as long as you like and can contain spaces and the page name does not have to be in
WikiName format and does not have to match the actual format of the page name. Example
this is a bounce link
Note: all page name listings display the actual format of the page name regardless of if it is in
WikiName format or not.
It seems that I have been left alone in the Wiki and am using this entry as a test. If there is no response in a week I will assume that I am free to do what ever I feel best. DbieL 15 Mar 2006
Since the problem of how to display text as flush left verse justified has been answered, the next question is should the default format be "justified" or "flush left"? I would favor "flush left"

- The .css file invoked has the 'body' text set to "text-align: justify;" which pretty much makes it the defailt. Then there's the 'formatter' block of code (which is where I was trying to make changes that didn't work.)
- The question then is do you want to (or can you) change the .css file, or should we simply override the individual pages that in which jusification makes them look really bad? DbieL 17Feb2006
- did a quick edit, commented out the 'justify' setting, added in a different block of code to "left" .... but the question remains, where else will the impact show up?

One problem I see with pages like
FormattingQuestions, is that there is no indication or notification that new data has been added. It does not get logged with the other
RecentChanges.

- Yes, at present, that Forum stuff is contained in its own database section, so additions there aren't seen in the Tables and Fields that the RecentChanges routine looks at. At thi spoiny, I'm only going to call this bit experimental. I tossed up the major stuff done just to get it to run at all on http://wikkawiki.org/ExpandedAdminBackupTool∞ ... not covered was some stuff modified for just 'here'. The last few days have been spent trying to catch up on the new section of the IPB support Forums jist opened up to me. Only a few thousand more posts to read there. It's a bit funny to see that they are trying to work up something akin to a Wiki there also ..... Listing tips, hint,s and questions in kind of a Wiki format, but then linking to a discussion area that takes one back to the actual Forum .. actually pretty confusing. WazoO 14 Feb 2006

Question: Not sure how to handle the
Acronyms entry. Previously we used internal anchors to jump to the middle of the entry. Not sure how to do that here. Could make separate pages for each entry, but that seems a bit overkill. Could simply include external links in the index to reference off site entries. Any ideas?

- The method I chose to use was simple to spell out the meaning on the index page unless a long defination was available, in which case a new page was created - DbieL 4 Feburary 2006
- There's a Mod that someone put up that allegedly allows for the use of anchors in this thing. The code bothers me, but even worse is reading that the use of anchors is being depracated, but with no real replacement for the action being offered. That's been on hold until I find the time to chase all that background stuff down. WazoO 14 Feb 2006
