What is the typical average time between spam submission and the offending site appearing on a block list? I have been submitting reports for a week. I anticipated a day or two would pass before any action occurred. But http://www.dnsbl.info/dnsbl-database-check.php doesn't log ANY of the sites I reported with spamcop, nor does SpamCop.

Please see What is the SpamCop Blocking List (SCBL)? for the answer. The only 'time' variable involved is the maximum of 24 hours after the spew stops.

A lot of folks 'see' spam spew that looks the same, perhaps references the same Domains, i.e. in the From: line or spamvertised sites, but the critical data for the SpamCopDNSBL is the IP Address of the source of the spam. So it looks like the same spam is being Reported, but the critical variables involved keep changing. So it boils down to whether or not 'your Report(s)' provide enough supporting data to tip the scales of the math formula involved in getting/keeping a source IP Address listed. (And again, in the case of the SpamCopDNSBL, this is an IP Address, not a Domain.)

The SpamCop Blocking List contains nothing but the IP address of computers known to be sending spam. We do not list web sites, email addresses, or domains.

Reports from a single user will not put an IP on our list.
