mrmaxx 0 Posted June 14, 2012 Trying to report spam that has been held, but it's just sitting there spinning when I click on "Unreported spam saved: report now". Not sure if it's SpamCop or corporate firewall trying to block me from reporting spam on company time.

turetzsr 0 Posted June 14, 2012 ...For what it's worth, the graphic on the top right (large image version -- click here) shows some huge, acute spikes in both spam submitted (15- 30 messages per second) and reports sent (12- 25 messages per second).

Well, I'm still not sure whether it was a temporary SC problem or a problem with the firewall at work... I was able to process my spam when I got home, so it could have been a SpamCop problem or it could have been a firewall problem. *shrug* Guess I'll have to wait and see. silentlarry 0 Posted June 25, 2012 (edited) It would seem this might be ongoing? After a long delay, I just now got this: Parsing header: got sigalarm, taking too long to process, aborted. Perhaps you can wait a few minutes and reload? A tracking URL came with that messages, and when I clicked on that, the spam report was already parsed to go. http://www.spamcop.net/sc?id=z5356883948z1...8bcf49acaeccf9z I should add that the site was sluggish from the get go. Along the way I did several reloads on "held mail" and "report spam" tabs just to get to the parsing time-out point. Although two other reports went smoothly. SpamCop 98 0 Posted June 25, 2012 It took ~45 min. for sc to process a batch of seven emails reported with VER this morning. It usually takes less than 5 minutes.
cwg 0 Posted June 25, 2012 I agree, the server is running really sluggish.
danmoran 0 Posted June 26, 2012 Several times daily, the system hangs after submitting spam. After letting it timeout, I receive a message about processes taking too long to terminate.

silentlarry 0 Posted June 28, 2012 Just to add another reference number: Gateway Timeout The proxy server did not receive a timely response from the upstream server. Reference #1.c384317.1340844240.e3778134 Doesn't seem like this issue is getting much attention. Lucky for me I get only a few spams a day.

Toffa 0 Posted June 28, 2012 Is anyone aware? Has the site crashed? Does anyone care? Oh well I suppose I'll just trash all the stuff over 24 hours old and try again tomorrow...

Farelf 0 Posted June 29, 2012 Richard W confirmed in NGs (Date: Thu, 28 Jun 2012 17:57:30 -0600 or 28 Jun 2012 23:57:30 GMT) that an emergency database promotion was underway, (SC processing off-line) had been for an hour and a half, overshooting the engineering estimate but noting the procedure usually took four hours. Looks like it came back up about 20 mins - half an hour after he posted that. So, hopefully all back to normal, for some approximation of normal.

I'm alerting the systems guys. - Don D'Minion - SpamCop Admin - - Service[at]Admin.SpamCop.net - Hi I have been regularly getting a reporting error - browser cannot connect to the webpage - when trying to complete a spam report. When logged in the spam shows as ready to report but the same connect error displays. This is not constant, but frequent enough now to be a nuisance.
