C2H5OH Posted October 5, 2012 Share Posted October 5, 2012 Spamcop identifies 74.116.233.73 as uptilt.com, but sends reports to abuse-arin#uptilt.com[at]devnull.spamcop.net A lookup on the address gives me; RAbuseHandle: UAA1-ARIN RAbuseName: UPTILT ABUSE ADMINISTRATOR RAbusePhone: +1-510-844-1600 RAbuseEmail: abuse-arin[at]uptilt.com RAbuseRef: http://whois.arin.net/rest/poc/UAA1-ARIN Just wondering why SpamCop substitutes # for [at] and devnulls it? Often not considered safe to send abuse reports to a "abuse" address if SpamCop Deputies become aware or suspect they devnull reports to conceal your identity. turetzsr Posted October 5, 2012 Share Posted October 5, 2012 ...Also see Wazoo's reply in SpamCop Forum topic "What is devnull.spamcop.net?" ...Please notice that near the top of almost all SpamCop Forum pages, there is a text box between buttons labeled "Search for -->" and "GO" that you can use to look for other topics that might have answers to your questions -- that's what I used to find the aforementioned helpful post.
