[Resolved] Unable to add IPv6 address to mailhost

One of my mailhosts recently added IPv6 addresses to their servers. Since then, I have been unable to add the new addresses as valid mailhosts. The configuration process appears to be successful:

host 2001:418:0:7011:223:8bff:fe98:c89 (getting name) no name

Test email processed succesfully (sic).

...but the reporting fails to identify the new server address as "safe." Here is an example (email address and unique Spamcop identifier redacted):

Possible forgery. Supposed receiving system not associated with any of your mailhosts

Will not trust this Received line.

Also, the IPv6 address isn't listed when I review my known mailhosts.

I did try to solve the issue by deleting and re-adding the mailhost. I suspect the issue is that the servers are operating in both IPv4 and IPv6 namespace.

npd.nether.net resolves to 129.250.11.22

129.250.11.22 resolves to npd-la.nether.net

npd-la.nether.net resolves to 129.250.11.22

2001:418:0:7011:223:8bff:fe98:c89 doesn't resolve to a server name.

It looks to me like the problem is that the nether.net servers don't know their own names.

I added the IPv6 IP to the Puck host, but it didn't make any difference.
