Trouble with reporting spam

Recommended Posts

Regularly I get spam emails (which were apparently sent in 1970) from women who want to 'chat' or 'be my friend'. The email will invariably include fully nude photos. I can't copy and paste the email, but forward it to spam cop doesn't seem to work (I get an error message). Are there any other ways of reporting pornographic spam?

Hi, Chickensrule,

...Sorry to hear of your problem. Can you please tell us how you are forwarding the spam, to what address (don't tell us the address, just describe it) and what the error message says? Please note that you must forward to SpamCop as an attachment to your "secret" reporting address.

I was wondering if you where having the same problem I was

I am not to good with computers , but I found this "QUOTE" , and Did what the quote said ,

(I did this , and forwarded it to a email address I got what I joined

called --- submit.***************[at]spamcop.net

Forward your spam to: submit.-------spamcop.net or:

Paste entire spam (headers, blank line, body) - or - single address (one line only)

)

I quote From this link"

Do it in this order or it won't work:

While viewing the message, click on MORE at the bottom of the message. (Not the one at the top)

Click VIEW FULL HEADERS.

Copy the full headers by clicking CTRL A then CTRL C.

Close that window by clicking OK.

Click on Forward or push F on the keyboard

Type in your SpamCop reporting address in the TO field.

Paste the full headers (Click just below the Subject, then CTRL V) near the top of the message.

Click SEND

(I've noticed that many times when I use my shortcut name for Spamcop, when I click SEND it says there is no recipient in the To field and I have to type it again. I use spamcop as my shortcut name, but sometimes it changes to just 'spam' in the To field. Not sure why but it does it all the time.
