Chris Parker
Anyone else seeing significant delays in processing forwarded spam? Only two spams ready for processing after almost 5 hours...
Wazoo
Just saw a posting over in the newsgroups ... noting that this poster answered himself by later reporting that the expected e-mail did show up. There may be a connection with the last posting I made in the Announcements Forum, in that there may be something going on with the work in getting the database back in order on the new servers. Chris Parker
Yup, moving the hardware that does the processing would conceivably cause processing delays. I've seen a few more responses trickle in... I'll drop a follow up here once things get more back to normal (assuming I'm around at the time). JulieD
I have forwarded 17 spam emails since 22:20 BST (I'm in the UK) and not one has been accepted after 2 hours.
turetzsr
...Yes, I am definitely seeing this! It makes it very difficult to report spam that's almost three days old (I've been on vacation).
jbloom
The website has been running painfully slow too, ever since the maintenance they did yesterday.
StevenUnderwood
I have resorted to quick reporting all spam instead of full reporting the spam that makes it through to the inbox.
Wazoo
Based on the pic at http://alpha.cesmail.net/graphics/spamstats.gif .. I'm having to go with at least part of the maintenance work is done, but the SpamCop system is now slogging through the phase of playing catch-up ... turetzsr
...It seems to be doing really well, now! <g>
StevenUnderwood
I agree. I tried email submission and got my reply back almost instantly (less than 1 minute). Good job spamcop.
turetzsr
...It seems slower again today. I submitted two sets of spam (one of 3 and another of 9) at 10:24 EDT and got replies from SpamCop at 11:32 (the 3) and 11:38 EDT (the 9). When running well I get replies within 15 minutes.
