Is mailhost available for free users??

Recommended Posts

Cannot find user - no cookie or login

Free users with no cookie must start from home-page link

I may well be blind, but I have been unable to locate a link from the home page. Maybe I have just not located the home page, I have put: http://www.spamcop.net/ in the address bar. I have logged into the forum and tried the link in Julian's post and the above quote is copied from the resulting page. Julian does mention paid and free users in the post. B)

Hi, art0l0!

...Yes, it is. The link is now on http://www.spamcop.net/ on a button at the top left part of the page under the "SpamCop" logo. Immediately under the logo is a button labeled "Help," followed by one labeled "Site Map," followed by one labeled "Statistics." The "Mailhosts" button is under the one labeled "Statistics."

...FYI, the button points to URL http://www.spamcop.net/mcgi?action=mhedit&...r16charCode>.

...HTH.

turetzsr,

Clicking the link in your post gets me the same message as I posted above. I went to the spamcop home page via the first link in your post and found only the three radio buttons that I have seen before follow by the donate via PayPal button. I am using Internet Explorer 6 for my browser. I went to internet options an put an 'always allow' spamcop cookies in my list. I have a screen shot of the left side of the homepage, but don't know how to post that here. I have no trouble getting to the reporting page. OOPS, There is a MailHosts button on my reporting page!! It does get me to the information without problem, but the link in your post comes up with the same message as the link in Julian's post. I was looking for the HOME page rather than the MY SpamCop 'home' page.

Thanks for the help!!

Hi, art0l0,

...My name is Steve T (please see my sig). "turetzsr" is just my user id. :) <g>

...IIUC, the Home Page to which "the HOME page" refers is http://www.spamcop.net/.

...When you used the link I suggested, http://www.spamcop.net/mcgi?action=mhedit&...r16charCode>, did you replace the "<your16charCode>" with your personal 16-character reporting id? I had exactly the same problem you did until I used that link with my personal 16-character reporting id (in other words, you aren't the only one who has had this problem!). :) <g> Reference my reply in thread "Kinda vague, explain?" in this forum.

...If you still can't make it work, then your next step, I believe, is as referenced in Pinned: Mailhost Issues - please read before posting by Ellen, a SpamCop deputy:

If you have problems with mailhosts -- 1) registering new hosts; 2) reutrning probes; 3) spam parses or other issues you may post in this forum. [note from Steve T: none of these would seem to apply to your problem] However other than very general responses I will need you to write to deputies <at> spamcop.net with "mailhosts" in the subject line. [note from Steve T: emphasis mine, not Ellen's]

There was a bug with free users and MH's that Julian fixed yesterday. Thanks
