Reporting Statistics

Does spamcop keep statistics for each user? Basically, I would like to see some statistics just for me, my account. The main reason is I have feared I have come close to reaching the limit of reported email in a single day, even though that limit is indeed generous.

I have a little application called ePrompter. I have it set to check my unfiltered account as well as my filtered account. I was sitting here one night and when it did an update, it showed I had 89 :o emails in my unfiltered account. 5 minutes later, it was at 0 and My filtered account remained at 0, meaning spamcop caught them all as spam.

This has happened several times since then and sometimes more than once a day.

I would just like to see some of my history. Oh, and does the report number generated by spamcop correlate to the number of spam I have submitted since I started my account here?

No, the Report ID Number is sequential for all of SpamCop. It's over 679 million now.

I use Mailwasher Pro to report spam to Spamcop and its latest version logs statistics.

For example, in the past 4 weeks...

478 emails received

422 were filtered

88 % is spam

ACTION TAKEN by Mailwasher:

Email Bounced: 283

Email Deleted: 403

Email Reported: 157

For JeffG

I was refering to these numbers....

Submitted message 5185 for reporting

Moved message 5185 to trash

Submitted message 5186 for reporting

Moved message 5186 to trash

Submitted message 5187 for reporting

Moved message 5187 to trash

I have been a member for a year this coming May and those would be close to the numbers I have submitted.

Those might be close. Those should be the UID number of the message in your Held Mail folder. It's a unique number used by IMAP to identify a message. It's not guaranteed that these start at 1 and go up, but it looks like they do. Also, if mail goes into your Held Mail but you don't report it, it still uses up a number.

If you report every single email that goes into your Held Mail, and always have, then that number is probably real close to the number of spams you've reported.

Well, I can't say I have reported every email in my held mail box, but pretty close. Usually if a legit email gets held, I whitlist the sender. I can only remember that happening twice in 10 months.

So that is pretty close to the number of submitted emails. That bad part is, those numbers where in the 2ks just over a month ago. I notice waves of spam though.

What is really bad about all this, it all started because some idiot didn't know, or mistyped his email address, and instead was using mine. I received a few notices on ebay about some bids I had won, then notified the auction person it was not me doing the bidding. After about 2 weeks of that, the spam started rolling in. Mostly from porn sites. It only got worse from there.

Thanks for all the help
