How do I change my spamcop user id?

Recommended Posts

I'm fed up with several hundred mail bounces, I'd like to change my SC id, how do I go about this?

Yeah, I had seen that.

I think the most effective way is to change my id

That thread mentions that the spammers are sending messages with 2 char spamcop user names, like mine.

Please email "support at spamcop.net" about this issue. Thanks!

Thanks.

The bounces seem to originate from just 2 postmaster addresses, I have decided on the tactic of blacklisting these.

not that I'd ever have recommended a one or two letter address, that you chose to investigate and come to these results is actually good news. I saw that you'd said you'd seen the other thread, and had picked up on the incoming random issues ... but what I didn't see was the point I'd made there that changing your address would solve this immediate issue, but didn't do anything to prevent the day your new address made the hit list ... so that just changing to a new one wasn't the cure to everything ....

That was my conclusion.

I had the idea that changing address to something longer that 2 characters would help. Also anything sent to my 2 character uid would not get forwared to me.

Would you care to specify which ones?

Yeah, why not.

The 2 I was talking about are :

postmaster[at]bellnexxia.net

postmaster[at]blueyonder.co.uk

And today :

mailer-daemon[at]mx.mcn.ru
