Wazoo 0 Posted October 28, 2005 (edited) Per a posting found at http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=5250 ... Starting soon, possibly tomorrow, SpamCop will no longer send un-munged User Notification reports to abuse addresses that refuse to accept munged reports unless the user gives specific permission. Below my signature is what the user will see when he tries to send the report. If he 'reconfirms' he is presented with a pop-up dialog telling him that he can send the unmunged report if he wants to. - Don D'Minion - SpamCop Admin - There is a problem: At least one User Defined Recipient refuses munged reports. Please re-confirm all recipients. Report spam to: Using abuse#address.com[at]devnull.spamcop.net for statistical tracking. To be honest, I've read this a number of times and am not sure I see what "the change" is ... beyond a different type of 'warning/request" ...??? just passing it on .... *EDIT* Updated per Don's correction Edited October 29, 2005 by StevenUnderwood

To be honest, I've read this a number of times and am not sure I see what "the change" is ... beyond a different type of 'warning/request" ...??? just passing it on .... 35104[/snapback] I agree...maybe they got a complaint about the warning and decided to pop up a "are you really sure". Glad to see we are not the only ones who have trouble with people reading what we write.
Wazoo 0 Posted October 29, 2005 Thanks to farelf for finding what turned out to be a Topic I started in here, data taken from a newsgroup thread .... this "change" is in fact a "fix" for the issues raised at http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?...indpost&p=31432
StevenUnderwood 0 Posted October 29, 2005 BTW, Wazoo, How do you edit an announcement. It does not provide an edit button (to fix the "double negative" of the original post which has been fixed elsewhere.
