cocciag
Hi, I've got a spamcop.net account and it's been working great for the past few months, but since yesterday (9th March) almost all my incoming mail is being sent to the Held Mail folder - this includes mail from senders previously directed straight into the Inbox. Has anyone had this behaviour before? Is there anything I can do about it? Thanks for any help, cocciag
Wazoo
from your description, I read it that something has happened to your "whitelist" file ... is it still there, is it still showing some entries?
cocciag
hmmm, the whitelist is still there, with plenty of entries. I've just tried an explicit test, using one of my whitelisted senders, and the mail got diverted correctly to the Inbox. Very puzzling. I'll keep an eye on it throughout today and if it continues to misbehave, I'll try to provide more info. thanks, cocciag
StevenUnderwood
In that case, is it addresses that were not in your whitelist having problems? If so, it is possible your ISP (or someone in your path if you have forwarding setup) is listed on the bl. You should be able to look a the headers of the held messages and determine why it was held. Post them here. The headers important for this purpose are the X-spam-* and X-Spamcop-*
lawless
Read my recent post "Harrowing (but Successful) False-Positive Solution Search" Chances are your ISPs inbound relay got tainted by outbound spam.
