Yes that was odd. Seems it was in provider mode .

I see the Reporting ability has been removed.

My third party box would disappear when I would run out of fuel. Adding more fuel would bring it back.
Oh, okay.. thanks

I suspect your server is blocking the spamcop server. You may have to whitelist it.

There used to be an additional field for sending the report to another interested party. One such suggested email address to put in it was "spam@uce.gov"
I had been getting a lot of spam from spamCrossing and I see ChicagoSPAMvps is included on the ARIN whois lookup, and was going to send them a taste of their own medicine with a spam report

Why does it look like OS X?

That is exactly what wants or needs to be avoided -- to redo the reports.
Even though the message to the abuse departments didn't get sent, the spam got processed by SC and entered in the SCBL. every time the same identical spam gets reported, the reports get skewed and SC ends up being listed as unreliable due to skewed reports, and as a SC user, I don't think that would be a good thing. One report for one spam recipient. That's the goal. at least that's the goal I thought we were aiming for...
Hence my inquiry into resending only the emails to the abuse depts, instead of resubmitting the spam over and over until the errors finally subside.
Gmail, Microsoft, Yahoo, etc., are the largest email providers, but yet 99% of the spam I get comes from not them. It comes from the likes of Eonix.net, Colocrossing, and Hudson Valley Host who are not even email providers. Since they fail to get their act together on stopping spam, I have ZERO problem in reporting them multiple times.

While the spam was processed, the 3 mentioned Vietnamese abuse departments will never receive a report to act upon. Well, never for this specific submitted report due to the smtpEnvelope/smtpFrom errors (452 and 550).
I'm not counting google's report since that one gets /dev/null'ed right away without any further decorum.
You have to redo the spam report when you het those errors. It will get through eventually.

Just got another today
Can't send report: smtpEnvelope (7146447064.95d4bab7@bounces.spamcop.net, abuse@colocrossing.com): smtpFrom: mail From 7146447064.95d4bab7@bounces.spamcop.net: error (452 #4.3.1 temporary system error (12) )Can't send report: smtpEnvelope (7146447065.dbf9f580@bounces.spamcop.net, abuse@cloudflare.com): smtpFrom: mail From 7146447065.dbf9f580@bounces.spamcop.net: error (550 No expected reply from SMTP) -
Was referring to the errors on sending the report, not responses from abuse departments. I reported six spams Saturday with no errors, but on Friday is was closer to fifteen. Out of those fifteen, I got two errors.

But speculation does not resolve the issue, and it goes ignored

Looks like Spamhaus has a permablock on some of their IP blocks

Perhaps if were to add fuel to our accounts, then started a chargeback for a broken service, then maybe that will get their attention?

Given up worrying I think?
"Federal Investigators Are Issuing Warrants for Google to Turn Over Anyone Typing in Certain Search Terms"?
Facebook to me are the worst, sort of pressured by friends to put-up a Facebook page with real name, also put up a Gmail with realfullname]AT]Gmail.
Not even used it but next day got a phishing spam from Russian crime gang,
(Cyrillic writing on their hard drive, with drive encryption malware I used their source IP to log into their hard drive)
Took ages for them to stop bugging me, I were getting youtube to remove their promotional bitcoin videos.
Seems to me Facebook sell info to dubious people, be careful of Facebook AD's a lot of scams always use PayPal they refund on non-delivery.That's why I stopped using Goolag and the spyware Chrome many years ago, along with other Chromium based browsers. I now use mostly Mozilla based forks such as Waterfox, or I use WebKit based on Linux.
Not sure what the government expects to find on an illegal fishing expedition, as people should know by now Goolag heavily censors, and manipulates their search results.

Even stopped using Chrome when it was forced over to being Chromium based. I think Windows 11 in general is going to be worse. I understand will require a MS account to log in.

Still the same issue .I wrote email to Cisco about this issue and why nobody fix this .But I see nobody care about it.
I feel spamcop go to be obsolete idea .
Spamcop no longer even has the clout it used to have many years ago.
Did you know the abuse departments who receive your report can reply, and indirectly reply to you, and send you a message?
I used to get thank yous, and such from providers. Not any more. spam just keep coming from the same old sources every freaking day.

The issue seems to be getting worse. nearly every other report it is now doing this

Does it disable the senders account, or just prevent them from sending?
It just sends their mail to the spam folder.

I've never had any problems with it using Chrome. I've never tried it with any other browser.
Sorry, that's the best that I can offer.
Sorry, I will NEVER use anything owned by Goolag. This includes any Chromium based browsers, They are used too much on the web.

You can also report Gmail users using https://support.google.com/mail/contact/abuse
It's a bit of pain to complete, but hopefully Google takes notice of the reports.
I tried it, and submit button does not function

I am using spam Assassin with Thunderbird, and it throws any spam in the junk folder, but I want to make sure I report all spam

Saw this twice today, and once yesterday
QuoteCan't send report: smtpEnvelope (7138327930.abd742ed@bounces.spamcop.net, abuse@vietel.com.vn): smtpFrom: mail From 7138327930.abd742ed@bounces.spamcop.net: error (452 #4.3.1 temporary system error (12) )
Not with just this address, but it was with a few others.
Reporting seems to be down again
in SpamCop Reporting
Posted
After logging out and back in, I see it has now resolved.
