Not forgotten, it's just that I recall when I looked at this before my aunt died, there were some other issues beyond what you'd asked about. I will get back to it, sorry for the delay.
  2. The point being ... don't fall for it. The only e-mail from SpamCop.net that would be talking about "the need" for your personal data would be in response to e-mail that "you" initiated. The reasons for "you" having to get into a discussion about your Registration details are very, very few.
  3. Is there a specific reason that you are using the Outlook/Eudora work-around two-part form for trying to submit your spam???? Is there a reason you are only attempting to submit the headers only? Part of Asking a Good Question is providing enough data for someone else to try to help you. Way back when ..... there were some spammer constructs in some header lines that could cause this .... but I have not seen this for ages. As above, providing enough information so someone could try to help factors into how this Forum works. You are asking folks to talk about something that only you have seen thus far. This sentence reads as .. you submitted one with no problems. You have not been able to submit 'anything' since. In general, this is a bit hard to believe. Bottom line, more data, detail, words are needed from you for anyone here to talk about anything specific.
  4. Please see the existing Topic in the Lounge area at I am being blackmailed
  5. No sign of involvement of the SpamCopDNSBL. Moving this to the Lounge with this post.
  6. Very strange .... one would have thought that the following described password issues would have been cleared up by now. As it turns out, I just received a PM this morning with someone that can't log into his spamcop.net e-mail account, conjecturing that it's a probably utf-8 character-set issue. Looking at this Topic, there is nothing stated here about password issues with the 'new' IMAP server. The one person raising the complaint was actually replied to in yet another Forum Topic .... so bringing that data 'here' so it will be available for anyone looking at issues with the 'new IMAP server' ....
  7. Kind of makes one wonder why 'we' even mess around with the Announcements section, doesn't it?

  9. No change with an IMAP connection Only pointed out as that connection is not to "mail.spamcop.net" .... 10. Thank the almighty that I'm not in that respected list and therefore don't have to try to justify my Independent streak. The "party rhetoric" just drives me nuts ... the Democrats did this, the Republicans did that, yet those statements are usually actually about one person's actions, statements, whatever, but .... the person doing the talking simply doesn't want to stick his/her neck out and say the target's name out loud. Those campaign 'promises' that "I will change things" that never come true as when they get elected, reality has a funny way of screwing a lot of things up. However, way off-topic .. end of this post.
  11. Newsgroups checked before hitting here .. no traffic seen over there on this at all. IM sent to an on-line entity, e-mail sent to both ...

this forum section does not 'count' posts .. so it doesn't increment the user's post count either ...
  13. Topic "Pinned" to make sure it stays up top ... until issue is resolved ... copied this off to the spamcop.mail newsgroup .... hasn't made it to the http://mail.spamcop.net/news.php page yet ...
  14. JT has advised that a new certificate has been installed. JT's reply; He goes on to state that there is more work to be done in the future that will then allow it to be moved into an "official part of the system" ..... Announcements will be made at that time.
  15. Yes, java / java scri_pt was exactly what was on my mind when asking about links to a desxcription of capabilities / limits placed on the combination you've got. This Forum application's developer is all gung-ho on adding AJAX features galore, yet complaints keep pouring in from folks about problems their users are having, basically being "left behind" ....
  16. Although noting that a few posts prior states that e-mail hasn't been answered, Trevor did provide an e-mail address for contact. Have you submitted your issue through that means yet? can you provide a link to data on this combination .... what I'd be looking for is a description of capabilities, limits to capabilities, and the really nasty part, any possible impact your actual carrier might have to do with any of the above (i.e. is this a 'standard application installed, or a 'specially tailored' version on your phone) Maybe a bit off-topic, yet .... I'd love to have access to a mobile unit to test out a bunch of stuff .. but ... don't seem to travel in the right curcles to know anyone that has / uses web-access via a cell-phone. Have been trying for a long while to score something affordable off of e-bay that would allegedly have wifi access such that I could access my own network and try to explore that way, but .... my son sent me a phone that was "wifi enabled" .. but it turns out that it's tied to the carrier, so when it noticed that it wasn't 'hooked up to anything' almost all options were 'not available' .... The point being, how to 'test' from 'this side' of things to see what works, what doesn't work .. wothout having access to the device / software in question. On the other hand, this WebMail application isn't my issue. Trevor is the person to contact at the moment.
  17. e-mail sent upstream asking about the certificate and Beta status ....
  18. Much confusion ..... Forum Admin merged a 'new' Topic into the existing Topic, as the 'new' Topic was seen as an 'update' the the previously pisted material. Justification for the 'merge' was based on the fact that pointers to WebMail (Beta) status and issues had been posted into various FAQs, the Wiki, various postings within this Forum, and numerous newsgroup postings ... Folks following those links would not have had any clue that there was yet a different Topic that they would need to read. Thus, that 'new' Topic was merged into the Topic/Discussion that all existing pointers linked to. On the other hand, JT,Trevorb had sent out e-mails pointing to the 'new' Topic .. at the point that I moved/merged that 'new' Topic, that e-mailed link became a 404 (Page not found issue, which would typically result in the 'front page of the Forum being displayed) ... I added a block of text to the top of the first post, advising of the issue, instructing that users needed to scroll down to Linear Post #2 for 'current' information, made some text red, included the 'e-mail news page' entry that the "WebMail Beta was no loonger Beta"to firther explain the issue. Now what is seen is the series of two posts that end up with incorrect date/time-stamps, all my added stuff to the initial Post removed ... making the third post totally nonsensical. For those that were keeping track of this Topic, know how Forums normally work, this is an attempt to explain why things seem a bit out of whack in this discussion. For those that posted replies/comments here, I can only assume that further dialog has been handled via e-mail ???
  19. For those of you that missed it (as I did) there was an anoouncement made on the 'e-mail news page'; Topic Title modified.
  20. The second post was enered as a 'new' Topic .. I merged it into this existing Topic. Primary reason is that there have been so many pointers made elsewhere to rhe original Topic, and this new post contains updated material .... as a 'new' Topic, a lot of folks wouldn't actually 'see' it ....
  21. Section 7 updated a bit .... admitting to an issue with a username change request that occurs after multiple postings are made. Also updated trevorb's description in the Staff listing. added some bits after the Deputies' description.
  22. as part of the WebMail Beta which mentions an automatic detection mode for cell phones, PDAs, etc. which some folks then advised didn't work for them, a separate login now exists for handheld devices, as referenced in http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?...ost&p=57766 http://mobile.spamcop.net/ Problem reporting should follow the instructions offered in the WebMail Beta announcement.
  23. Thanks for the work and follow-up. RoadRunner added to the list found at E-Mail spam submittals blocked by your ISP
  24. Another attempted rollout of a newer version of the WebMail applcation for those with spamcop e-mail accounts. For further information, please see; Webmail Beta and Webmail Beta migration guide
  25. trevorb added to the Staff listing with the only information I have at the moment.
