  1. i have been using spamcop.net as my primary email address for over 10 years... i never had any clue that they would suddenly decide to stop providing filtered email service, i've had to scramble like a madman to make everything sort of right again and it hasn't helped that forwarding hasn't been working the way it was supposed to... quite apart from changing my email address everywhere, there are some places, like paypal, that want to send a message to your email address of record before they are willing to change it. forwarding not working correctly made it even more of a nightmare... as i said in a previous message: cisco, you have made one long-time spamcop customer very angry and frustrated. i hope you're happy.
  2. forwarding is not working... i set up forwarding when i first got the message, back in august. as of 140929 i was getting mail at spamcop.net as of 140930, no more mail for spamcop. i set up a new forwarding address, just to make sure. i got one message, the "Email Delivery Confirmation" from spamcop, and nothing else. just to make sure, i sent messages to spamcop.net from several other accounts, and i had a friend send mail to spamcop.net. none of those messages made it, and there were no bounce notices. it was as though they vanished into the ethernet. as far as i can tell, cisco has abandoned us... i have been a spamcop user for more than 10 years, and i find this incredibly irresponsible.

  6. +1 my impression is that the more spammers discover that they can foil spamcop reporting by using IPv6 addresses, the more spamcop will become an excersise in futility... and i don't want to see that happen.
  7. [*] Salamandir's Rant: If I didn't want to hear about it from the spammer, regardless of how amusing, profound, ironic, or whatever you find it, what makes you think I want to hear about it in regular email, on your blog, or verbally? In other words, if your statement starts with the words "I got this really amusing spam message…" I would rather not hear it at all, thank you.
