  1. Have you tried Richard W on the <Staff> page? I am a user/volunteer and only have access to the forum.
  2. you would think that having brought to their attention that no one is paying for the email account, they would stop "providing the services". I would think they would want to clear out the old account to reduce their bandwidth, particularly sense it is all spam from their domain/IP.
  3. Have you contacted your ISP? tech support where your email services is hosted? they can help you close/block the email address. They can also help you recover/change the password on the account.
  4. This is a really old thread and @dennis562has not been here sense 2019. If your "GSuite" email accounts and "Sendgrid" accounts are on different servers, have different IP addresses, then one may be on a block list and the other not. In any case the blocking occurs at you clients email server or application. With luck there should be a message explaining why your email was blocked which should help understand and correcting the problem.
  5. Jodell did originally double post. One has been deleted at their request.
  6. This is a variant of a spam I receive on occasion. All the changes i needed to make in your post to protect you, and not spread links the spammer may have included, are reasons it is better to report the spam and not post it here where other can see it. Yes spammers do monitor SpamCop.net.
  7. Logging into the forum or spamcop.net? I'm not having a problem in either place?
  8. It does seem to be down.
  9. When adding the second email address you need to be sure that the path to your second email address goes through the ISP you are trying to add.
  10. Of course all reported spam does feed the SCBL which assist all that use that dynamic list. What would be the purpose of sending a spam report to an email address that bounces the email? Or sending a report to a host that doesn't want the reports and just drops them on the floor? In either case the report just adds to the clutter on the internet and cost SC clock cycles and bandwidth with known ZERO positive results.
  11. Of course Microsoft didn't (directly) make the change, SC did. If the spam reports sent to junk{AT}... bounced three times, then the system sets a flag and no more emails are sent to that address. Instead they are sent to the internal SC devnull address for record keeping. OR if Microsoft ask SC not to send anymore reports, a flag is set and the spam reports are sent to the devnull mail box. There are other reasons that SC chooses not to send spam reports and files them in devnull.
  12. Historically the parser has had three objectives: 1) Identify the source of the spam & add the source to the SCBL, 2) Send a spam report to the abuse email of the source ISP, and 3) send spam reports to those advertised/linked in the spam. To maintain SpamCop's credibility there needed to be a zero false positive rate for identified spammers and spam reports sent. That included the lowest priority, links in the body of the spam, including TinyURLs. To differentiate between a TinyURL to a "drug store" and say an article in the New York Times each link would need to be followed, if still valid. All requires cpu cycles and this is the lowest priority. Clock cycles cost money. Everyone must set priorities on how to uses available resources.
  13. The SpamCop parser is a tool for your use. You can add "others" to receive copies of the report. When you review the report for email you have submitted, BEFORE you press send, if you have a paid account, you can add the abuse email for tinyurl.com
  14. @RobiBue Tank you for the clarification. Please note that when you mouse over TLD a little window pops up. The clue is the dotted line under TLD or HTH
  15. Sorry I read over it before. Edited out now. yes it is a two step process, among other things so you can make sure the parser logic (AI) has not identify an innocent bystander. When "we" are motivated to contact a help desk sometimes it is hard to remember the pointy-end-of-the-spear is really trying to help use with our problem the best they can within their power. this is true. However, your ISP should be able to whitelist the whole domain.TLD (everything after the AT).
  16. The bounce error is because your ISP is bouncing emails sent by SC. (rant alert!) Some dumb ISP in an effort to protect their customers from spam filter out any email that contains "spam". That means that emails from someone like info@spamcop.com get block/bounced. </rant> you need to talk nicely to your ISP and explain to them their error and the absurdity of the situation where you have received spam they have not blocked, BUT they do block email from one of the longest standing spam fighting groups. When you get that resolved, then login and click the [Problem resolved] button. Then we can get back to the issue of how you can report spam. After 3 (I think) email sent to an email address are bounced, the SC parser/system sets a flag to not send anymore emails to that address. When the problem is reported to be resolved the flag is cleared. SC doesn't want to clog the internet with emails that are going to be bounced, generating yet more wast of bandwidth requiring even more clock cycles on their busy system. 17. Not a Opera Mail user, but other mail applications will show the raw email by pressing <ctrl> U keys at the same time. 1) In your mail app display the email you are interested in. 2) Press the <ctrl> and the "U" key at the same time. (check your manual. there may be a different way to display only the header.) 3) Another window should open up displaying the raw email. 4) The email header is everything from the beginning of the file displayed down to, and including, the FIRST blank line. 4a) If you need to select the lookout/eudora workaround: Highlight everything down to the first blank line, then cut with <ctrl> C. Go to the header window in the SC screen and use <ctrl> V to past in the header. Return to the normally displayed email, used <ctrl> A, to select all of the decoded email, then <ctrl> C to cut/ the selected text. Return to the SC screen and use <ctrl> V to past the body of the email into the second window. 4b) If in step 2 above, <ctrl> U displays the whole email, header and body (maybe encoded), you can use the all-in-one submission form. Use <ctrl> A to select all of the raw email, header and body. then use <ctrl> C to cut the whole email. Then go to the SC submission screen with one window and use <ctrl> V to past the email into the window. 5. Press the <Process spam> button to submit your spam.
  18. I don't have a problem viewing Petzl's screen shots. I believe your browser or a firewall or bandwidth issues are keeping you from see the images. Because of the way this bulletin board is structured (for security) it is necessary for Petzl to upload the screen shots onto the web so he can then include a URL to the image. He is using a free service "ImgBB" (the logo at the top of the page) to get the images onto the web. The "blurry graphic in the middle" tells me that you are having a bandwidth problem and the graphic is only partially loading before losing connection or being blocked. Have you tried clicking the refresh button on your browser? The images Petzl provided in his post are to illustrate what you should see step-by-step following his instructions. Not to click on to follow a link. First we/you need to resolve the bandwidth/firewall problem so you can see what Petzl has provided.
  19. @ArtmakersWorldsI think the instructions provided by @petzlare complete. If you have any trouble please post and he will be glad to help more (I am sure). You are not the first person wanting to use SC that has had problems. The system was originally setup 20(?) plus years ago targeting the more technical inclined. The system is a tool. Like may tools when it works it works well. When things go wrong... Like a car hundred of people use them several times a day with no problem. But sometimes things break for the novice and the expert. Try to keep in mind when you submit a spam, written by some one trying to hide who or where they are, a software program tries to use just the information in the email to figure out who sent the spam. The parser is JUST a program trying to unmask spammers who use ever changing "improving" tricks. Sometimes the result is 'Nothing to do' To maintain SpamCop's credibility the program can not guess and accuse the wrong person of being a spammer. So some time spammers slip through. Frustrating. Take a deep breath and the user-to-users here hopefully will help get you through this.
  20. Have you read https://www.spamcop.net/fom-serve/cache/297.html Scroll down to the bottom of the page to "How the SCBL Works"
  21. It is quite possible that your email host @xxxxmail.com has changed their configuration. You should log into your reporting account click on the <Mailhost> tab and update your configuration.
  22. Yes, I have been receiving some similar email. Also some text to my phone. After pasting email into the spamcop form scroll down to where the body should be and add a line like "This text line added" NOTE: Be sure to include a blank line between the end of the header (Bcc: x) and your added line to mark the end of the header. Yes, "this line is a blank line" is like the "this page intentionally blank". What can I do?
