Held Mail (VER) tab not working

Recommended Posts

This is primarily to document the fact that since the upgrade on 3/26, the Held Mail (VER) tab on the reporting page for users with SpamCop email accounts is not working. This has been reported by myself in the newsroups, so I assume it is being looked into with the other bugs.

If it matters, I use the popup login on the site: http://mailsc.spamcop.net/ because of the 2 accounts I use, 1 for work (free) and one for home (paid) with completely different mailhost configurations. The cookie login is painful to use with this configuration.

The URL for that tab is: http://mailsc.spamcop.net/reportheld?action=heldlog

which results in: Cannot find login information. Not logged in?

I'm placing this in the Reporting help secion because it broke after the recent reporting upgrade. It is possible this is a broken link into the mail system since that is where the data resides.

How about using two different browsers (FireFox, IE, etc.), simultaneously? That should make it much less "painful."

If I did not think using 2 different browsers at the same time were not more painful, that would be a solution. I have 4 browsers loaded on my machines (work and home) for testing purposes, but am not interested in keeping another application open at all times. My 2 reporting accounts are bookmarked in My Yahoo which is my home page everywhere I am configured.

If they force everyone to the cookie login, I will need to use a solution like that. Right now, it is a broken link on the reporting page.

Thank goodness it's not just me. The first hiccup I've found on Spamcop after years of use. Hope it's resolved soon.

I select the link in the Held Mail report which is forwarded to me via email. Same error on both my iPhone 3G (latest software) and on Safari on my Mac (latest software). On the iPhone 3G it prompts me for the login information, I enter it and it then directs me to the error page stated in previous posts in this thread.

I have the identical problem that Nick M. describes above: starting yesterday, clicking on the link in my (daily) SpamCop "Held Mail Report" (<http://mailsc.spamcop.net/reportheld?action=heldlog>) produced the usual prefilled user name/password window (from FireFox 2.0.20).

Submitting them, however, did not log me in, but produced the SC "heldlog" page showing only the SC banner and tabs and the message "Cannot find login information. Not logged in?" I had to log in manually from there. (I should add that now I'm not even getting the prefilled login window when I click on the "heldlog" link, but am taken directly to the error page!?)

At first I thought it was a problem with my browser, but, as Nick said, "Thank goodness it's not just me." I'm assuming that with these posts SC will fix the problem in due course.

Not only am I having the same "Cannot find login information. Not logged in?" error mesage when trying to report, I'm not able to Login to the site from any login form.

My testing tells me that if you go to http://mailsc.spamcop.net/ and log in, you will stay logged in.

I'm not sure of the details, but hitting the "Held Mail" tab somehow throws you out of http://mailsc.spamcop.net/ for a moment. If you try to use a tab, you get the "not logged in" error.

However, if you use your browser's "Back" command after you get the error, you are taken back to http://mailsc.spamcop.net/ where you are still logged in, and you can use all the functions except "Held Mail." You may have tell your browser to go to http://mailsc.spamcop.net/ but when you do, you will find that you are still logged in.

I'm hopeful that the problem will be handled by a hot-patch that is planned for later today.

It is just now 06:30 in California, so "later" means many hours from now.
