tonyprice Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 I'm a paid member and this morning I was required to re-register with SpamCop - my old ID URL no longer exists. What, please, is happening?
cciu Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 Same here! When I actually tried to reset my password, I got this error: my_auth_sql:1135 - Can't create a new thread (errno 35). If you are not out of available memory, you can consult the manual for a possible OS-dependent bug Looks like the authentication system is having problems....hopefully just a temporary thing.
A.J.Mechelynck Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 I'm a paid member and this morning I was required to re-register with SpamCop - my old ID URL no longer exists. What, please, is happening? A few minutes ago, browsing to http://www.spamcop.net, I got: No userid found Your authorization code is invalid. Please obtain a new authorization code. So? I thought, Has my ISP been disconnected from the Net just when a SC message arrived? Maybe at the time I got those two transient "Gateway errors"? I re-subscribed with the same email address. Got a new authorization code in seconds. And what happens when I browse to the http address in the confirmation email? "Your authorization code is invalid" again! Now this time I haven't had time to do anything illicit with the new code! So what happened? (Deputies: My address-of-record is [...], and I'm a free user).

Wazoo Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 Just to close this one off, there was an Announcement posted by R.W. early this morning (U.S. time) found at the first page of the Forum, up at the top ... http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=1025 ... and the story goes that problem has been taken care of at this point in time.

Hi, Wazoo, ...Ah, you must be a member of the Department of Redundancy Department! <g> <g>
Wazoo Posted April 13, 2004 Posted April 13, 2004 oh man, embarrassing .. yep, you got me on that one. I saw your post, didn't recognize the link title you posted, even went with the "title isn't suggestive" as being another Topic elsewhere I couldn't quite place, and charged right in. Blaming it on old age and looking at when I posted it, there was a bit of distraction from a young neice on the phone, happy that Uncle had solved her problem of "my dog won't eat the expensive dog food that the veterinarian had prescribed" <g>
