Forging Time Stamps?

Perhaps I am missing something but I occasionally get spam that I am unable to report because it is "too old." However, it is obvious (to me anyway) that the times are somehow forged. Is this a newly discovered way for preventing spam from being reported? What do I do in a case like that?

Nothing new. Probably a server along the line was hoarding mail for a while and just now released it, making it new for you, but too old to report.

If you will post the TRACKING URL you see at the top of the page when SpamCop is processing the spam, we can take a look to see what is actually happening.

I don't know if this is still true, but in the recent past a Mailhosted account will get tripped up by a forged "Received" line whereas a parse on the email in a free spamcop reporting account will reveal the true source.
