eN0ch
I'm using Safari 6.0.1 on a mac running OSX 10.8.2. When I report I get to the login screen and select 1 month as the expiry timeframe. But the login seems to expire after less than a day every time. I have spamcop.net listed as a stored cookie in my browser privacy settings. Am I missing something? Do I need to tweak my browser settings? Thanks. Lance
Farelf
Hi Lance, You have "www.spamcop.net" listed (not just "spamcop.net")?: http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=4671 http://forum.spamcop.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=4672 If those don't suggest anything, try searching the forum with the search term safari cookie. Let us know how you get on. Steve
Geek
Been a while since I used Safari, but is there a privacy setting that's over zealous that maybe can be site-overridden for Spamcop? Cheers!
eN0ch
Thanks, guys. I can't find a setting that will let me override anything. What I have identified (thanks to the links you posted, Steve) is that spamcop needs the "www." at the front in the cookie. It would appear that Safari drops the "www." in all cookies it stores, and there doesn't seem to be a way of changing that through the settings. So I'm hoping there might be a way of doing it under the hood - either by editing a .plist file somewhere or by a terminal command. (I'm not much of a geek, but can follow instructions, usually without breaking things.) I've posted in Apple's forums in hope of getting some clues. Hopefully I'll remember to post back here for info. Unless someone else can offer something here …. ?
