Ichibrosan
Hi folks, I am here today for the first time. I think SpamCop has great potential, but also awesome power that must be used carefully. I hope I can contribute to discussions that lead towards change for the better.
turetzsr
Hi, sanjana, ...Welcome! I do hope you find the Forum useful. I look forward to trying to help you with any questions you might have. Hi, Ichibrosan, ...Same greeting from me to you as I gave to sanjana. <g> ...Actually, I view SpamCop as having very little power and us users even less! After all, SpamCop merely sends e-mails to abuse addresses on our behalf and provides a listing of IP addresses from which spam has been reported (or in the case of SpamCop "spam Traps," seen) to have come. For us users, we may contribute to that list but only if we are not the only ones reporting a given IP address and only if our combined reports exceed the threshold for inclusion on the list. The power is entirely in the hands of the abuse address recipients and the corresponding E-mail provider admins.
