MyNameHere Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 I posted a couple of other oddities recently that seem to have gone away. Now when I log onto webmail I see the notice that "You can still report spam by logging into webmail.spamcop.net and selecting the spams and clicking Report as spam in the ribbon." My problem is that today, I found three spam messages I reported by clicking "Report as spam" just sitting in my Report History as "No reports filed." The oldest one is now over 12 hours old. ????
turetzsr Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Hi, MyNameHere, ...If someone doesn't drop by really soon with a better suggestion, please see: the last two sentences above the "sig" in the reply from Don D'Minion in SpamCop Forum Topic "No reports filed???" SpamCop Wiki article "SCNoReports."
MyNameHere Posted August 30, 2013 Author Posted August 30, 2013 the last two sentences above the "sig" in the reply from Don D'Minion in SpamCop Forum Topic "No reports filed???" SpamCop Wiki article "SCNoReports." Thanks! I'll send something to Dom. I saw the help/wiki entry, but it isn't helpful because there is no way I know of to parse these quick submissions and see the "comments in red."
MyNameHere Posted September 14, 2013 Author Posted September 14, 2013 The frequency of this problem has declined, but I still see some spam that I quick-reported from webmail not being processed. I looked in Past Reports and saw three "No reports filed" entries from the past week. I quick-reported two spam emails this morning, and one processed and one didn't. As before, I went into my Trash folder and forwarded the unprocessed spam by hand to SpamCop reporting. I parsed and reported it manually. As before, the parser showed no errors or "comments in red." I guess I could contact Dom Don again, but last time I got the impression that the SpamCop reporting system doesn't have any record of why something was not processed. I'm wondering whether the problem is on the webmail side--is there something webmail is doing when it quick-reports that sometimes prevents SpamCop from parsing the spam?
