Cutsnake88 Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I am being repeatedly spammed by Brainpulse.com (shady SEO services). I report all of them to Spamcop, but the reporting address is shown as postmaster[at]brainpulse.com - notifying the actual spammer, not the host. The actual host is iWeb.com. The IP address of the sender is clearly iWeb.com. Why are you not notifying iWeb, instead notifying the spammer and verifying my address is live with them?

SpamCopAdmin Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Yes. Please provide the IP you're talking about, or the TRACKING URL to the spam. - Don D'Minion - SpamCop Admin - - Service[at]Admin.SpamCop.net - .
Cutsnake88 Posted September 9, 2013 Author Posted September 9, 2013 The most recent tracking URL is http://www.spamcop.net/mcgi?action=gettrac...rtid=6002028802 The notification address has now changed to tarun (at) brainpulse.com. Tarun Gupta is the owner of that and dozens of other domains - he has spammed me on around a dozen of them. This is the first time in a couple of weeks that I've actually submitted this spam, as it seemed pointless to keep notifying the spammer. I have also directly reported all of these spams to iWeb, who host all of those domains on a dedicated server with nameservers of brainpulse.com. iWeb has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to stop this jerk.

turetzsr Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Hi, Cutsnake88! The most recent tracking URL is http://www.spamcop.net/mcgi?action=gettrac...rtid=6002028802 <snip> ...Nope, that's not the Tracking URL (although, as I understand it, Don [spamCopAdmin] will be able to use it although the rest of us won't). For more information, please see SpamCop Wiki entry "TrackingURL" and/ or the SpamCop FAQ (links to which appear near the top left of each SpamCop Forum page) entry labeled "Getting a Tracking URL from a Report ID."
SpamCopAdmin Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 >- 6002028802 Yes, the ReportID number gives me everything I need to know. I turned off the reports. Thanks! - Don D'Minion - SpamCop Admin - - Service[at]Admin.SpamCop.net -
Cutsnake88 Posted September 10, 2013 Author Posted September 10, 2013 Thanks, Don. Can you get the reports going to iWeb? Or do the just go to you now? Thanks to everyone else, as well!
Cutsnake88 Posted September 11, 2013 Author Posted September 11, 2013 iWeb gave them the boot yesterday. Moved operations to Choopa.
