DavidT Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Despite having meticulously configured my mailhost settings to avoid ever reporting my own VPS at ServInt, that's exactly what just happened with spam report id 6073940389. It was just a garden-variety spam sent to one of my many email forwards at a domain I control, and instead of seeing my innocent server as having properly relayed the message, the reporting engine got confused and sent the report off to Servint, my host, and so I just had to shoot off a quick "Spamcop screwed up" message to their Abuse department. I'm a CESMail email customer, so I used the direct "report as spam" option in my inbox, which doesn't give me a chance to inspect the reporting until after it happens. That's it--SC won't be getting any more of my reports. DT
Farelf Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Routes change without notification as has often been noted - perhaps you could refer this one to Don or try re-doing your hosts David? There may be others affected.
