Cry Havok Posted May 6, 2004 Posted May 6, 2004 I've been trying to register a new account and get the Mailhosts setup working. Eventually I realised that the mail headers had tabs inserted after the space following the colon: header:<sp><TAB>blah blah blah The error that was given said it couldn't find the auth code, but eventually I worked it out. Oddly enough the spam reporting form doesn't have this problem. Obviously it's more a problem with the webmail provider, but it would be nice if spamcop were more forgiving about others failings.

I wouldn't necessarily blame your mail provider. As I understand RFC 2822, tab characters are allowed after the colon in header lines. It's not common, but any software that parses header fields should be able to handle it.
