Laurens
As the following quote will prove, SpamCop doesn't identify Google redirections and therefore wants to report to Google. This should be probably implemented so that the real spammers and sites are put down. While I agree that the 'real' destination should be LARTed, if Google is going to allow spammers to use its redirection service they are supporting spammers and deserve to be LARTed in their own right. Laurens
Do you also complain to MSN because their redirection service can be abused as well? SpamCop detects MSN redirections so it should do the same job with Google in my opinion...
Spambo
Yes. And Yahoo! And anyone else aiding a spammer. If a domain is providing support to spammers, any kind of support, then they deserve to be LARTed.
Miss Betsy
Do you also complain to MSN because their redirection service can be abused as well? Well, actually I do myself since spamcop won't. Interestingly enough, after about a week of complaints, I stopped getting spam redirected from yahoo and msn on that account. Maybe coincidence since neither yahoo nor msn 'bots thought that they could do anything because there was no spam in my complaint (or it didn't come from them - depending on whether I included the whole spam or not). It is also possible that the injecting ISP did something also. Or that the spammer just moved on to another list. SpamCop detects MSN redirections so it should do the same job with Google in my opinion You are correct that SpamCop should be consistent.
