HCMelnik
Using AOL, there are numerous new e-mails that cannot be reported -- SpamCop says there is no header information, yet the headers are available. There are several of these types every day; I have included this type below. What can I do about it? Thanks. ________________________________________________ Subject: Buyout Alert Date: 7/1/2004 4:47:35 PM Eastern Daylight Time From: lzkhmwijjkbv[at]yahoo.com To: (massive list of AOL addresses snipped - note line was "good") Sent from the Internet (Details) Return-Path: <lzkhmwijjkbv[at]yahoo.com> Received: from rly-xm03.mx.aol.com (rly-xm03.mail.aol.com [172.20.83.104]) by air-xm01.mail.aol.com (v100.23) with ESMTP id MAILINXM14-5fc40e477e3267; Thu, 01 Jul 2004 16:47:34 -0400 Received: from 80.179.2.131.forward.012.net.il (80.179.2.131.forward.012.net.il [80.179.2.131]) by rly-xm03.mx.aol.com (v100.23) with ESMTP id MAILRELAYINXM32-5fc40e477e3267; Thu, 01 Jul 2004 16:47:01 -0400 Language: English Disclose-Recipients: No Alternate-Recipient: Prohibited Approved: Yes (127.0.0.1) Reply-To: "Carl Drummond" <lzkhmwijjkbv[at]yahoo.com> From: "Carl Drummond" <lzkhmwijjkbv[at]yahoo.com> To: (massive list of AOL addresses snipped - note had line wrap issues) Subject: Buyout Alert Date: Thu, 01 Jul 2004 19:38:21 -0200 MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary="--609072911072741" X-AOL-IP: 80.179.2.131 X-AOL-SCOLL-SCORE: 0:XXX:XX X-AOL-SCOLL-URL_COUNT: 0 Message-ID: <200407011647.5fc40e477e3267[at]rly-xm03.mx.aol.com> USA Investors Daily Upgraded to Outperform: ARME Armor Enterprises, Inc (OTC BB: ARME) Current Price: $0.75 90 day Target: $1.80 12month Target: $5.00 Shares Out: 37.7 Million Market Capitalization: $27.9 Million <massive snipping of spam body - unrelated to poster's query> stocks featured within this email. turetzsr
Hi, HCMelnik, ...Please do not post your spam here. We all get enough of our own! <smile> ...How are you submitting your spam -- via the web form at www.spamcop.net, by e-mail or by some other method? What operating system does your machine have? What e-mail client? Are you a SpamCop email user? ...Can you provide us the tracking URL to one of the submissions that complain that there are no headers? Wazoo
As Steve T points out, the immediate issue raised by your query is "what exactly are you submitting?" ... If your spam submittals are "what you just posted" , I'm having a bit of a time trying to sort out how you ever get any of your AOL spams to parse. So I'm forced to make an assumption that what you posted probably doesn't match what you would have submitted, but ... assumptions suck .... another repeat, the use of a Tracking URL would have simplified the flow of analysis here.
